Excellent post, Mary. It’s so important that we keep our foot on the gas, no matter what the polls say, no matter what the news of the day is. We cannot let up. There is so much MAGA stupidity in this country to overcome. We’ve got to keep fighting, every day.

I hope abortion fuels people to vote like it has in recent elections. I also hope that Biden's fundraising ability translates into votes for Democrat in the November election.

Thank you, Mary, for your uplifting column. 💙

I think you can bank on both translating into additional votes for Biden and Democrats everywhere. Biden's fundraising ability is part of Biden's general ability. He's amazing wht he can do. He flew to China to repair relations with Xi. And while he was there, he flew to I think it was at least 6-7 other nations in that area to cement our ties with them. And all this flying to different places in different time zones would have worn out a lesser person. He's amazing what he accomplishes. If you missed his State of the Union, do yourself a favor and see just how great he is--even if you only watch for ten minutes. (But I bet once you get to 10 minutes you'll want more!

What I've been seeing is that Biden is presenting as very positive, creating hope, while Donald is whining, whining, whining. In my opinion it's hard to see why anyone sees whining as positive… I continue to celebrate the positives with you.

Such great news this week. I am more confident that we will win like we did in 2020. Lifelong republicans are moving to our side. I’ve talked to them. They will never support Donald and the Magas. I feel the blue growing. Thank you Mary for your great info.

Big bucks fundraiser is good news. The bad news is, the Trump campaign promises 30-plus million at a fundraiser next week. Pray for rain.

I don't trust anything coming out of the Trump campaign. They're likely saying that to contend that they are outdoing Biden. But not so likely.

Which would mean that most of that most of that money would go to support the mango madman's legal fees and perhaps his fines. In the meantime, Trump and his deranged followers continue to threaten everyone from judges to poll workers without any consequences but with gag orders that don't do a damn thing. WTF, when will this insanity be finally dealt with?

Rick -- I just heard the attorney general of Colorado say the threats against all voter poll workers are serious and frightening. The MAGAs are at it again. Surely these phone threats can be investigated and legally stopped. What should I do ito help catch such a caller?? Look for the caller's number before i even answer a call? Call local police to put a trace on the call? Jot down the exact time of the call? We need to start a national defense against such calls. Anyone who can help, please jump in.

Try calling your Attorney General's office and ask them. Or call the Colorado Democratic Party.

The red ones are busy trying to roll back student loan relief again (like all the PPP loans taken out by Republicans weren't forgiven)

I doubt it, and even if they were to get the 30 mn, they'll still have only about 1/5th of what Biden has.

On top of that, Trump's mind is going, as did his father's. His father had Alzheimer's, and that's likely what's eating at Trump's brain.

I am also wondering about the impact of Robert Kennedy's running as an independent. He mostly embraces a right wing agenda, yet Donald thinks Kennedy is no threat to him but to the Dems instead. I actually think he would be more likely to split the Republican vote and give Biden another advantage. Let's hope!

The "enthusiasm gap" is a myth.

Frankly, I'm more enthusiastic about Biden now than I was in 2024. Why? Because by every measure, his first term has been a HUGE success, and that's despite the Dems losing the House in 2022. Is everything perfect? No. Is there a lot more to be done? Yes. And Biden and the Dems have, and will continue to work hard and actually put America first.

I am loving Trump's sudden Bible affectation. Every time he mentions it I think of him wordlessly holding a Bible upside down in front of the church near the White house in 2020, to gain TV coverage when protests of George Floyd's killing by police were grabbing all the headlines. First he cleared the crowd from Lafayette Square with police on horseback and used some sort of gas. Then he lead "his generals" and others, through the Square to St. John's. Ivanka took a Bible out of her purse and handed it to her dad., who stood there without speaking. General Milley apologized afterwards, saying he was embarrassed to be part of the "event", which apparently had no purpose except to get Trump on TV.

A propos nothing in particular, what do working class, lower income voters say about Trump University? A lot of them lost countless thousands of $ of their savings, severance packages believing the rubbish that they would learn how to be real estate moguls. DJT was proved to have made completely unfounded claims about the course work - and had no authority to call it a University. He made $5 million, the gullible ones lost their savings.

Have we all forgotten that now? Or Trumpers have an excuse? Can anyone enlighten me?

The numbers of people who lost money to "Trump University" are a tiny proportion of Americans, so I don't see it being terribly important in the election--although when I heard about that, early in Trump's 2016 run, that was the thing that convinced me that Trump was evil and should not get near the presidency. It WOULD be nice if Biden could bring it up during the compaign, make a pithy comment out of Trump basically stealing money from people. His Business Plan or Trump U was to get people who couldn't afford it to pay for it by maxing out their credit cards.
