Sometimes you just have to take a step back
Remember when we hoped a Biden administration would be boring? How’s that working out for us?
Not very well as, for the last year and a half, the news cycle has been on a spectrum from “fire hose” on one end and “tsunami” on the other.
I’m trying to remind myself that it’s ok look out the window, walk by the river, wander the streets, chill out on the beach, read a murder mystery, binge watch something mindless, or do whatever it is that will help me unplug and recharge my batteries. I hope you find whatever your version of that is as well.

Mary, most days I am overwhelmed with the jackassery happening in our country. I’ve tried to see the world through the eyes of a MAGA Republican, and I cannot. In order to even entertain those thoughts, I would have to believe that my presence and my choices on this planet hold more value and importance than anyone else, no matter what. I would need to live my life based on entitlement, greed, and intolerance. I would have to be willing to lie, cheat, steal to remain on top, loyal only to myself. I would have to rationalize all of this in order to quash my conscience. But I could never do that, not ever. And the fact that so many people can, is simply overwhelming to me. 😞
