Sadie: Please don't be so cruel: neither Mary nor E. Jean would approve! I would join both - as well as so many others I've 'met' on their substacks, but I also can't afford to - and then support the candidates I send donations to in this most important upcoming election - even though I FULLY SUPPORT E. Jean in her suits against the orange monster. The point was that Mary specifically asked people to sign up for E. Jean's substack - and I believe Regi was giving a reason why he/she could not, that's all. I probably would figure out a way to 'somehow' manage it if my husband didn't handle the finances at the moment - and would throw a fit. I'm biding my time - in the meantime I DO follow them both - for free. This vitriol against that post is unnecessary.

Regi, I couldn't afford to join for a long time. Eventually my circumstances changed and I was able to join by paying monthly. But in the meantime, I still read her Substacks, added comments, learned from them, shared what I could, and enjoyed the commentary. It's OK to do that, which is why they include the option NOT to have a paid account! Keep on coming back - you're welcome here! :)

I keep thinking she should at least get the same amount as ghouliani has to pay Ruby Freeman and her daughter Shaye Moss (even though he's weaseling out of it, the vile pig). after defaming them. Yes, “Martha,” he really is that stupid. He can’t keep his mouth shut even after losing the first suit against her. I’m surprised he hasn’t left the United States for a country that has no extradition agreement with the United States so he can avoid prosecution for all of these crimes. And as long as he’s gone, I don’t really care what happens to him. It really surprises me that he’s not over there a sucking up to his boy Putin.

Re: Why he has not fled to Russia yet: He cares more right now about trying to become dictator and trying to raise $ for himself and lawyers from campaign funds.

He is gambling on winning to be able to pardon himself, to get his DOJ and S. Ct. to drop the cases against him, and about freeing the “1/6/21 hostages” to join his army of armed MAGATS.

With a private plane he figures he can flee at almost anytime before airspace is closed to him and fighter jets go after him.

Expand full comment
Valere's avatar

Biden would call Blinkin (assuming Tony Blinkin would accept another go at SOS) and cancel his passport. The only fighter jets would be those escorting him so he didn't change his mind and come back. He is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, but after that verdict: goodbye and good riddance, if he chooses to flee.

My guess is Trump is afraid of Putin. I suspect Trump got suckered into Putin's vortex whether he understood what he was getting into or HAD NO CHOICE. Russian Mafia makes the Italian Mafia look tame. Putin likely had all the dirt on Donnie before they ever met.. Lot of Russian money in Trump Org in the years before Rump became a candidate.

Expand full comment
Brenda's avatar

The thing is I don't think Donny would like living in Russia. Colder than the USA. Where would he golf all day. Sure the Russian elite get the best of everything Russia has to offer, doubt it competes with the United States of America. Besides they tend to fall out of windows a lot. Just saying. Donny the Token Yankee Oligarch.

Agree - she's amazing. Imagine being connected to that family, sharing their name while knowing they're ALL vile, especially her uncle~and being the ONLY one out of them to stand up for and to tell the truth for those harmed by him and his 'loved ones' (although to my way of thinking, that's a contradiction in terms since he loves no one but himself). She's lived her entire life knowing he's a monster, yet is part of her family. What an awkward and terrible position to be in.

That's an understatement. His very dangerous rhetoric, obvious memory lapses and continued praises for dictators like Victor Orban spells it all out. He will destroy everything that gets in his way and there are too many of his GOP lemmings that find his autocratic agenda perfectly ok with this madness. Let's annihilate this revenge-seeking, felonious traitor at the ballot box.
