Abdo, an 18-month-old boy, had been rushed to the clinic by his mother as he was dying. His ribs protruded from his withered body. Please write to both the United Nations and the International Criminal Court (ICC) and ask that these two men be arrested before more deaths and more human carnage can be realized. While the U.S. is not a signatory with the ICC, these crimes were committed in Africa where thirty-three countries are members of the ICC. The ICC has issued an arrest warrant for Vladimir Putin for the deaths of Ukrainians. Russia is also not a signatory on the Rome Statute.
The ICC has jurisdiction over four main crimes. First the crime of genocide is characterized by the specific intent to destroy in whole or in part a national, ethnic, racial or religious groups by killing its members. Second, the ICC can prosecute crimes against humanity, which are serious violations committed as part of a large-scale attack against any civilian population.
