Listen: Judge Millett Destroys Donald Lawyer on Gag Order Appeal
I can’t believe this isn't a story yet.
Here is the courtroom clip from today’s gag order hearing that captures exactly why legal experts say today has gone horribly for Donald – appeals court Judge Patricia Millet raises her voice in response to Donald’s attorney’s failure to be direct. Analysis from a lawyer I spoke with, along with my own, follows.

Things got heated fairly quickly between District Judge Patricia Millett and Donald’s attorney John Sauer.
Throughout the hearing, Judge Millett interrupts Sauer several times whenever she thought he was evasive.
NOTABLE MOMENTS FROM THE HEARING:
– Both Circuit Judges Brad Garcia and Patricia Millett discussed the very real threats to Judge Chutkan’s life, specifically by Abigail Jo Shry, who was charged in August for threatening Judge Chutkan’s life the day after Donald said, “If you come after me, I’m coming after you.”
– DC Circuit Judge Patricia Millett drew an important distinction between “campaign rhetoric” and speech “aimed at derailing or corrupting the criminal justice process.”
– According to CNN's Devan Cole, “The comments by Millett are a good indication that the judge is not prepared to agree with Trump’s argument that the gag order is a total violation of his First Amendment rights and must be struck down in its entirety.”
Legal experts who heard today’s hearing are in agreement that some sort of gag order will be reinstated.
(Judge Patricia Millett, Judge Cornelia Pillard, and Judge Bradley Garcia. US Court of Appeals District of Columbia Circuit).
WHY TODAY IS SIGNIFICANT:
Attorney Joe Gallina of Call to Activism told me:
“Today was a bad day for Donald Trump. Even a dispassionate reading of today’s hearing shows that at least one, and probably two out of the three judges ALREADY agree that SOME gag order should be reimposed on Donald Trump.”
“That’s important for someone like Donald who has shown a consistent disregard for gag orders…
…It’s also very likely that violating such an order will land him in jail.”
Well, here’s hoping!
Gallina also explained why Millett’s important legal distinctions matter:
“Judge Millett’s line of questioning for Trump’s attorneys have made it clear that she believes that simply being a presidential candidate doesn’t mean Donald Trump is free to undermine his cases or prejudice the outcome of the cases against him.”
MY TAKE:
Today’s development has been fascinating.
You might think Donald will never be held accountable. But I know Donald personally. And I can tell you he is 100% incapable of restraining himself. If that gag order get’s reimposed there is a good chance he’ll violate it.
If Donald is in a situation where saying the wrong this can land him in jail, that’s almost certainly what will happen.

There are about 48,739 reasons he should be in jail. Would someone kindly pick one and put him there? Happy holidays!
Trump needs to be put in prison. Where he belongs.
