There’s not an economist on the planet who thinks this is a good idea. Dumbest trade war ever!

This is what MAGA might not ever understand, to be the leader of the free world, you NEED to be smart.

China is being enormously helped by the fact that Trump is so dumb. He’s waiting for a call from China, so what does he do? He “reportedly started quietly lifting tariffs on certain goods to ease tensions.” So China hasn’t called to negotiate, hasn’t even agreed to negotiate, but Trump backtracks anyway. Based on trump’s response, if China waits and does nothing Trump will lift more tariffs. The master negotiator at work!

I feel bad for the people that didn't vote for him but like half of america that did not vote for Trump we have to pay the price for the stupidity of others. That's why I'm wearing this "Don't blame me, I voted for her" t-shirt 👇

Benedict Donald is extending his middle finger to the nation, and that includes the MAGA buffoons. For many of us who knew that this was his playbook (Project 2025), we are now part of his retribution. On the bright side, our nation is durable and has always been able to survive these debacles and rebound even stronger. The Dems need to remain focused and ensure they will be heard on a daily basis. The midterms are not that far away.

A great big thank you to Dr. Mary for these updates. Her research and comments are greatly appreciated and she is unwavering when it comes to exposing the diabolical fraud of her manipulative uncle.

When he got into Penn, it was easy to be admitted (almost HALF of all applicants)!Today the acceptance rate is 7.4% and he'd never be admitted. He wasn't on the Dean's list, or any honors list, and so any claim he graduated at the top of his class is demonstrably false. If he really did graduate at all, at best it means he got at least a 2.0 out of 4.0. So he's more like a half-brain, than a 'genius' by any metric. And so all of this "genius student at Wharton" stuff is pure baloney.

Unfortunately I agree! Things may never go back to the way they are especially when it comes to trust. I don’t think our old allies will trust us the same way again. And why should they? The first term was a mistake and instead of learning from it, we put him there again. What is to stop our allies from thinking we will continue making mistakes like this again and we are not a trustable partner! Trust is hard to earn in the first place but once it is earned but broken it is almost impossible to be earned again.

McConnell had a choice; he voted the wrong way. Now the MAGA’ts got what they wanted, control and the country in a downhill spiral of grift, lies, theft, conmen, criminals, bankruptcy. SCOTUS created a monster by granting 100% immunity to the sack of shit in the white house.

But McConnell put us in this position to begin with because he wanted a republican president. He was a fool. He got a democrat, Biden. I’m betting it’s gonna be a long time before a GOP person gets elected to president again. People don’t forget.

But, 1) the congress will not vote to convict on impeachment. Too many republicans don’t want to lose power.

2) the cabinet will not vote to invoke the 25th amendment for fear for their lives and careers.

3) we don’t know for certain that his health will hold out. Heart attack? Maybe. Airline or car accident? Maybe. Assassin? Maybe.

We all saw this coming from a million miles away. Kamala Harris mentioned what a disaster tariffs would wreak on the domestic and global economy in every single one of her stump speeches during the POTUS 2024 campaign. So none of this is a secret. No one who voted in the November POTUS election can claim they didn’t know what they were voting for. The choice could not have been starker. The ONLY conclusion one can arrive at here is that EVERY SINGLE PERSON who voted for your uncle wanted to dismantle the US government and economy — because that is what your uncle and Project 2025 said they would do. This is not rocket science. They got their wish. Now we ALL know what it means to live under a thoroughly destructive authoritarian regime.

Shocked silence. Finally, "Well, he's a good businessman..." "Oh? Do you know he's bankrupted six businesses, including casinos?" No clue. "By the way, how's your 401k?" She made a fist.
