Pretty incredible!

We can all rejoice that the majority of us in this USA can demonstrate peacefully and joyfully--evidence of our power.

I would like to see these rallies happen more often. And we need a general strike to starve the billionaires of their greedy, monstrous behavior. I already unsubscribed to the NYT and the Washington Post and will never shop at any Amazon related businesses. I don’t need any new techie gizmos or ain’t new objects that can’t afford. Let’s not feed the monsters.

A general strike is set for May 1.

We had 3 already in my area of NY. This is something MAGA can not say, we all protest peacefully.

Remember occupy Wall Street in New York and the rest of the country. What did that accomplish? Answer not a goddamn thing. Those Wall Street bastards pointed at the protesters and laughed and toasted with champagne while the NYPD brutalized the protesters.

The problem is, the filthy Rich believe one thing because it’s true. They are above the law and they are safe unlike us peasants. When they get scared and when they are afraid to go out because they may be targets of the peasants they might consider giving up their wealth and confessing to their crimes.

These peaceful protests exist so that the peasants will blow off some steam and believe they’ve actually done something.

Wake up peasant!

"Wake up peasant!"? I hope you are not stating that to me. Why are you constantly tagging me, seems like you are targeting me. I am not some Schmuck off the street, I know how things are and how they should be, this is what, the 3rd time you have done this to me. I am getting tired of it already.

It’s an interesting thing—money gives we humans the illusion of safety. I understood the truth of that the first time I flew business class (even though it was on points).

Old and feeble here, but I would have been out there on the streets if I was able to!

Wow!

I am in New Zealand and so missed the event. I just got here yesterday, 3/29 in NZ.

I'll be there next time. NO KINGS, ONLY DECENCY AND THOUGHTFUL KINDNESS.

I revel in how very much donnie loathed ever single second of seeing how many people hate his guts and wish him gone!

Over 9 million and counting. The SAVE act cannot ever even get close! The state DA's need to hold the line. And hold the line in the red States. November has to be clean and fair.

Elaine Richards's avatar

November won't be clean or fair, unfortunately. Vote in groups so ICE will think twice before trying to intimidate. Plan, organize and follow through. 🌊

Keep up the good work of peaceful protest. As individuals we contribute but together we are a powerhouse.

Lately I have been feeling depressed with age and infirmity and the collapse of my country. But the Baudelaire poem struck me like lightning with the answer. Being drunk with joy is the answer, wherever you find joy!

Just sent you photos from the University Village NO KINGS event in Seattle. Thanks for asking, Mary!

Take heart, folks! This post I put up on BlueSky went viral yesterday:

Almost half of "No Kings" protests took place in GOP strongholds, organizers say.

Wonderful to be reminded of the Baudelaire poem. And yes, “Long Day’s Journey into Night” is also my favourite play!
