Their goal has always been to destroy America for ordinary people and to reward the rich and super rich. Under Trump, after literally decades of scheming, they are finally in the position to do just that and they are acting rapidly to do so. Knowing that the only way they can keep Americans from reversing their terrible actions is at the ballot box, Trump and his allies are now working feverishly to subvert our next election so that they remain in power and control no matter the will of our citizens. The rich simply cannot allow the rest of us to have a say in our governance anymore.
I remember when Ronald Reagan appointed James Watt as Secretary of the Interior. Some of us thought it was like making Willie Sutton a bank president. Burgum makes Watt seem like Francis of Assisi.

The senate better defeat the Save Act such a bunch of biogtry that they will never be elected. GOP more than likely will try and pass this piece of legislation. While it looks like the Democrats are poised to at least take back the House of Representatives, Americans who want to restore democracy and more than a modicum of social justice in the US should strive through the primaries to make certain that there are as few establishment Democrats as possible. This group, otherwise known as corporate Democrats or moderate or centrist Democrats, may declare "No Kings!" but if they were honest they would add, " But we're perfectly fine with oligarchy". They may be our allies, like some neoconservatives (such as those Kamala Harris was taking onboard in her fatally mismanaged campaign), but in no doubt wanting to return the US to the pre-Trump status quo they are, as neoliberals, not our friends.
I'm so tired of your uncle having the philosophy that if he doesn't like or agree with something, it's a hoax or s scam. You know what the biggest hoax or scam is in the history of our country? HIM and his egotistical way of doing things because he knows everything about everything. Corporations that have been affected by his policy changes are absolutely thrilled because not having to worry about government regulations mean less costs to them. Now, will the fact that they're saving money be passed onto their customers? I wouldn't hold my breath. Your uncle is nearly 80 years old, knows he's not going to be around for much longer, so why should he worry about pollution, climate change, etc.? For his children and their children?
