Great commentary and analysis. Trump must acknowledge and apologize for the mistaken bombing of the Iranian girls' school and the resulting 160 deaths. And then to read that the President of the United States is giving Florsheim dress shoes to his cabinet - too ludicrous for words. The dangerous and tragic incompetence and absurdity of this administration is a shock to our collective conscience. Is Trump's destruction of the global economy and global peace his purposeful giant distraction from the DOJ's cover up of the Epstein files?
Excellent and informative. Donald and Kegsbreath never fail to lie, prove their ignorance, say or do remarkably ignorant things, or prove unconditionally that they are unfit for the positions they currently hold. Between Donald's delusions of his own power and the insanity of the shoes just like dad wore back in the 60s and the murders of school children because Kegsbreath used an out-of-date map after he fired the people who kept maps current . . . these men and their enablers are OUR EMPLOYEES and they took an oath to protect and defend the Constitution , which they have clearly voided of their own volition. We pay their salaries and expense accounts and staff and those that feed and care for them and all the money they are wasting and grifting from. No rational employer would ever accept such despicable insanity from their employees? Why are we?
Reports are, that in dollars, this war in Iran is costing a billion dollars a day. Rick Wilson, on his site, says he knows someone behind the scenes who told him that a billion dollars a day, is ONLY for munitions......total cost is most like a 1/2 billions PER HOUR. and Lord knows how many casualties there have really been. We have lost 8, I believe with over 140 injured, 8 gravely so. The deaths in the Iran include 140? young girls from an elementary school that was bombed due to the use of old/incorrect data by the Pentagon.
I was watching Jim Cantore on the Weather Channel talking about the tornadoes that have hit the midwest recently. He talked about devastation/destruction and sadly and reverently talked about the 2 people who lost their lives in Indiana. There was not a mention of "Well, it's a tornado. People are going to die", unlike the witless, heartless and soulless statement made by our "Commander in Chief" about War.
Thank you for the podcast, Mary. Those girls deaths are very sad, indeed. Tux and Patches and Ron says hi. It’s been a very stressful day for the both of us.Things will even out it always does. His Parkinson’s flared ⬆️. Please subscribe to The Good In Us by Mary L. Trump.
The vulgarian will never admit fault for that school bombing, because nothing is ever his fault.
Thank you once again, for proving a Trump can actually be a rational, reasonable, and good person, against all odds. I wish the same could be said for his grandchildren. You are one of my main sources of information I consider truthful and reliable.
I would love to see a breakdown by raw vote per candidate with some scale attached MAGA to Conservative to independent to Dem so that we have a better sense of the likely vote spread in the runoff, although I suppose since party wasn’t relevant to being on the ticket we may never know
Thank You Mary, you are the best. I have read I think every thing you have written. You are my rock in these very bad times. Keep up the wonderful work you do. (i almost said "great") someone has ruined that word for me).
Mary, thank you for the excellent commentary and analysis.
It’s interesting that I read this post after reading one from Bruce Gerencser, a former Evangelical/Fundamentalist pastor who is now an atheist and humanist. In it, he uses the moles in his yard and how people would react to them, to illustrate his point about dominionism, which asserts that God gave Man dominion over everything and permission to do anything to it. In a dominionist way of thinking, the moles can be destroyed if someone wants a perfect, hole-free lawn or garden. Likewise, it’s fitting to attack Iran or any other country (or, ahem, kill a puppy) if it gets in the way of their objectives, which they conflate with “God’s will.”
Trump himself probably isn’t a dominionist if only because he doesn’t have any principle besides himself and he doesn’t read or think enough to come to such a philosophy (a pretty low bar, I admit). But, as BG points out, members of his administration are and he and they find each other useful to attain their objectives.
(Like Bruce, I was once an Evangelical Christian and am now an atheist and humanist. Another parallel between my story and his is that I now consider myself progressive :while I am registered as a Democrat, I think most don’t go far enough. He was, perhaps not surprisingly, a ruby-red Republican, though he helped the needy. I was a Libertarian.)

Thank you, Mary, for keeping us informed about the current dynamics of each of these situations.

And yet Donald likes to harp about how unreliable solar and wind energy is. It is pretty much always sunny somewhere and the wind is always blowing.
Side issue: are Florsheims still American made? And if Mango asked their sizes, why did the shoes not fit?
According to AI, most Florsheim shoes are manufactured in China and India.
I heard that they are made in over seas.
Iexpected that; so much for MAGA bringing manufacturing back to the ISA.

During most of my almost 75 years I have seen a lot of stupid, But now? There's a new level of stupidity-trump stupid.
It most certainly does not apply to Dr. Mary.
Rubio looks like he's wearing clown shoes.

and who has paid for those shoes? Of course Trump could afford to pay personally, but he never pays for anything .. so taxpayer gifts?
Will we ever know for sure?
