First, some emergency art:
The second movement of Brahms’ Sextet No. 1 pretty much sums up how I’m feeling right about now.
I’ll have plenty to say in the days to come about the multiple tragedies we’re currently facing but right now I wanted to let you all know I’ve been thinking about you and missing this place. I’ve been overtaken with unexpected travel, Linden’s continuing health issues (he’s ok at the moment but is going to need surgery), and some unanticipated other things but I plan to have things back on track in the next day or two.
Please hold tight, take care of each other, and don’t lose hope.
Love,
Mary
Sending hugs and healing energy to you and your kitty. I woke up in the middle of the night with a song playing over and over in my head. The song? “You Don’t Own Me” by Leslie Gore.
Best wishes to Linden! I live in Canada, and am appalled at this turn of events. It’s unbelievable that religion and extreme right activism has come to this. If someone doesn’t approve of abortion, don’t have one. If you don’t approve of same sex marriage, don’t have one. Who are they to dictate their version of so-called morality and judgement on me? Why is this a legal question? It boggles my mind. I can’t get my head around it. I’ll be following this closely from afar. My thoughts are with you all. 🤬🤬🙏🙏
