Donald looks like a textbook example of Narcissistic Collapse, and this is when he is most dangerous. Last time around we had Generals who prevented (and possibly overruled) his desire to use a nuke. Now we have Sec. Def. Kegbreath. 😱

Good post. I noticed over the weekend, that to this retired internist's eyes, The Donold appeared weaker, more confused, disheveled... I think his dementia is progressing rather faster than I would expect.

Why does Trump have this sudden urge to join with Israel in attacking Iran?

First of all, if Trump commits any of our armed forces to join Israel in their war against Iran, such an act would constitute an impeachable offense as a violation of Article I, Section 8, Clause 11 of the U.S. Constitution which grants Congress the sole power to declare war.

There is one point though that is worth conceding. If anyone knows how to plan an invasion, it's Donald Trump. He had proven this on January 6, 2021 when his MAGA fighters successfully smashed through the doors, windows and other barriers to invade the Capitol building. Victory though was not to be Trump's, as we know.

Which brings us to what's really behind Trump's sudden urge to join Israel in their war against Iran.

For the past 72 hours, the world has been laughing at Donald Trump's pathetic birthday fizzle to himself on Saturday. So who but "a stable genius", after consulting with his brain trust of "Little Marco" Rubio and Pete Hegseth (assuming he was sober at the time), could have come up with the brainstorm of threatening a nuclear war to take everyone's mind off of Trump's thorough humiliation of himself?

Bingo!

The Evangelicals in his Misadministration want to set off their beloved Armageddon. Huckabee, "our" Ambassador to Israel, was broadly hinting on social media that he "has to make the biggest decision since Truman."

Btw, Hitler at one point considered himself a military genius himself. So another parallel between Hitler and Trump. Hitler's delusion earned him the title 'GröFaZ' which sounds more ridiculous than as bombastic as it is. It stands for Größter Feldherr aller Zeiten (Greatest Field Marshall of all times).

Oh my gosh!! This all scares me to death! *tears*. Why isn’t somebody, anybody stopping him, stopping ANYTHING he does? Maybe that’s why it’s scary….no one can….Your expression on what is going on is so clear and truthful, those who need to read this, will not. That’s even scarier. I am just hanging on to my little studio apartment in a retirement community, sending out whatever LIGHT I can through expression (written, verbal), through service, through tapping into the powers of heaven. God bless us all. 😢❤️

I don't believe this pres won the election without suppressing the vote, big time. AND… he needs a war to be able to do all the things he wants to do. He claims war time powers in the courts when we don't have a war going on. So… I don't believe he is running the country any longer, he could easily have the 25 Amendment applied. I think the evil Stephen King is.

When a man with nuclear codes treats war like a reality show cliffhanger, we are no longer governed, we are being held hostage by a sociopath’s ego tantrum. This isn’t foreign policy, it’s psychodrama in a golf cart. Trump doesn’t want peace, he wants applause. And if bombing Iran gets him a standing ovation from the ghosts in his head, he’ll do it.

Tulsi plays oracle, ICE plays Gestapo, and the Constitution plays dead.

July 17th isn’t just a date. It’s a test. Of courage. Of memory. Of whether we’re still capable of honoring the kind of love John Lewis lived for—or whether we’re just too tired to stand for anything at all.

No more sleepwalking through the fire. Trump’s fantasy of unchecked power must meet the resistance of a people who still remember how to march, how to speak, how to say: Not this time. Not again.

Thank you Mary for putting Trump’s crazy escalation of war rhetoric with Iran into perspective. A narcissist dishonored on his birthday with a lackluster, ill-attended self-induced parade is bound to throw a megalomaniacal hissy fit next. An actual “Leader of the Free World” would speak to console a state and country grieving the horrific political murders in MN, would reassure us that justice will come for those who break the law, but of course he can’t say that for obvious reasons. A real leader would not try instead to make a really big noise to return attention to himself by rattling sabers at Iran. The wonder is that “serious” people like the US District and Supreme Courts continue to treat him as a fully functioning, sane adult. He is not. He’s a giant fraud, as everyone can see. The emperor has no clothes, and it’s an embarrassing sight to behold. Those who continue to enable this charade have a lot to answer for.

Looking at you, John Roberts, et al.

Abortion was legal in America in Colonial Times despite Puritan piety.

Abortion is not mentioned as a sin or as murder in the Bible despite the extensive detail in the Law of Moses and the fact that we know that herbal

abortifacients were well known and widely used even then.

Abortion did not become illegal in America until the Women’s Movement started and the topic of expanding women’s rights to include the right to vote became a serious discussion and effort.

It’s so obvious that denying reproductive medical rights for women and calling it murder amounts to terrorism intended to control women.
