Executive orders? All nonsense. He is no executive either.

Their depravity and delusional incompetence is staggering. This GOP will s a dumpster fire of complicity. And there is Texas 🫨. Thank you for steady perspective and insight….even as it must be exhausting on some days..

there will soon be widespread starvation, not just in Cuba but in a lot of places that depend on Iranian or Gulf oil for fertilizer and fuel. And North America will not be completely spared. All because of one man's demented ego and tens of millions of people who still think he's doing a great job.

We'll be lucky if we just get by with high food prices and shortages. Some parts of the world are looking at mass starvation. 😔

He thrives on chaos. I think he enjoys it. He IS chaos walking.

In the 90’s Donny sent a small group to Cuba to look for hotel deals. He spent $68,000 which is illegal. They turned him down flat. I believe he’s still pissed. He’s sticking it to them because of HIM… it’s not ideological. Utterly pathetic. All of it.

I've been hearing "25th Amendment" for quite a long time. But when Common Cause throws their weight behind something, we can be sure there's a push for it!

but it's not conceivable that it will be exercised. It needs 2/3 vote of both houses of Congress- and they have failed to get that in the Senate twice for impeachment.

Sadly true. But you'd think Vance would be down with it. Not like Pence.

Hope you are right. But a handful of spineless Republicans still hold more than 300 million Americans hostage.

Good way to put it!

Excellent summing up of the realization of the kind of US presidency Sinclair Lewis warned us about in his novel "It Can't Happen Here". It raises a very important question: if the Trump regime will not obey the Constitution, why should Americans, particularly public officials, obey the Trump regime?

Waiting for that big, beautiful obituary. It cannot arrive soon enough. I love the anecdote that tells about a man approaching another man, who is sitting and reading the front page of a newspaper. The standing man points to the paper and asks if there is an OBITUARY on the front page. Man holding the paper replies that obituaries do not appear on the FRONT PAGE. Smiling, the other guy says, “The one I’M waiting for will be!”

Trump’s “morality”

is the morality of a mob boss..

Same thing over and over. We are waiting for the mid-terms and hoping they will go as they should. And there is another possibility that most of substack longs for....

Until then, same old miserable destruction.

It's so aggravating that a person who has done nothing for the good of anyone except himself continues to get away with so much corruption. There are several types of people who are enabling him. There are the undereducated fandom fanatics who are in the cult. The religious fanatics who are trying to make the country to their perverted beliefs of Christianity. Then there are the power brokers who want even more wealth. And lastly those other people who hang on to his notoriety to be relevant.

Good thing all of them together are a small percentage of Americans. However, when huge sums of money can be spent on getting other fanatics in power position the problem becomes difficult. We the unwilling participants in this MAGA GOP MADNESS must stay engaged and make others aware. Only then will we get the power necessary to change the system that will benefit all the people.

There is such a thing as “ Involuntary Commitment in a Psychiatric Hospital “, which I have had to do for a few times in my life. It’s a very common practice to have someone who is a danger to themselves or others who are not willing or able to do it themselves or who are not in a mental state to do so!

DJT treats and runs everything like it's one of his businesses - his FAILED businesses. He has already failed as an effective POTUS, we're just waiting for the courts to shut him down. But that will never happen unless the Dems take over both the House and Senate and the new Senators and House Representatives are sworn in on Jan. 3, 2027.

There’s a saying “generals are always fighting the last war”. Meaning that they are fighting with outdated weapons. That is certainly the case with Trump shooting down $30k drones with multi-million dollar missiles.

Worse is the obsession with Irans nuclear material when Iran could potentially ruin the U.S. by simply using AI software. This is not just hypothetical! AI developers have been concerned about this possibilities for years. Consider what the impact of crippling our trucking, shipping and/or telecommunications systems would be. We depend upon completely on shipping for food for example.

AI is tomorrow’s war technology!

We’re exhausting our military defense, NATO and the world won’t want to defend us…

Domination by the US, aided and abetted by the Mafia, is what led to Castro.

So now Trump, Vance, Hegseth and Marco Rubio (himself a son of Cuban immigrants) believe that more Americans domination will bend Cuba to their will?

(Interesting that Donnie talks as if he’s trying to sound like a mob boss.
