Take a burner phone. If you get on social media on your phone-they can access it. They can access Signal Chats. They will use ANYTHING THEY FIND AGAINST YOU IF THEY WANT TO. & It may be years getting through the courts.
This is even more true if you travel outside the country-on re-entry they can take your devices without a warrant
Burner phones are $3o on amazon. IMO better than going to a protest, getting it confiscated, then not having a phone at all. ICE has been known to delete pics/vids. so if they haven’t been backed up they are gone. they can access your cloud. if you use a different phone # not linked to your email-it is much harder to find you. This is not Paranoia-it is Reality. Also-highly recc use of free http://proton.me for email. They are highly encrypted by a company outside the US. They do Not turn over your info to anyone w/o a signed judiciary warrant for criminal act
