A phrase going back to late sixties by Ms Darling a teacher that was beyond cruel. They moved her from first grade teacher to junior high librarian. She would punish a whisper or trading books by making students duck walk on the balcony overlooking the library. It was pretty grueling task. Like our giant teacher that her classroom was by a double door entrance 15 feet away. Because she couldn't fit through regular doors, couldn't walk on any stairs get sat down before we got where we would have seen her walking. Her punishment was, as she couldn't get up she would make us walk to her desk, lay out hand flat as she would take the thick ruler rapping our knuckles hard. If we didn't go along got sent to principals office where he had his huge paddle for whipping us.

Sorry just sent my thoughts down a rabbit hole of memory during a different era.

MYTH: Traits like extreme confidence, charm, or boldness often seen in narcissists automatically make someone an effective leader.

FACT: People with extreme narcissism often lie habitually, not just strategically, because their sense of reality is shaped by self-interest.

FACT: They exaggerate achievements and credentials to maintain an inflated self-image.

FACT: Empathy is severely limited, making it difficult for them to recognize or care about the feelings of others.

FACT: They seek constant admiration and validation, often manipulating situations to ensure attention and praise.

FACT: Criticism is perceived as a personal attack, triggering anger, defensiveness, or vindictive behavior.

FACT: They exploit others for personal gain, treating people as tools rather than autonomous individuals.

FACT: Accountability is rarely accepted; they deflect blame, rewrite history, or gaslight.

FACT: Relationships are transactional, based on what others can provide rather than mutual respect or connection.

FACT: They often display a sense of entitlement, believing rules or norms don’t apply to them.

FACT: Extreme narcissism can manifest publicly through bullying, grandstanding, and controlling narratives to protect self-image.

FACT: While charisma may temporarily attract followers, narcissistic behavior erodes trust, destabilizes organizations, and escalates conflict.

FACT: True leadership requires empathy, accountability, collaboration, and integrity qualities often absent in extreme narcissists.

Your synopsis of a narcissist is soooo soooo right on! The worst ones are malicious beyond reason…worming their way to high places where they can control and destroy others for no other Earthly reason than the thrill it gives their cruel dominance. They can be found in Government, Industry, Education; and, if you’re especially cursed by an extreme narcissist, in families. In a family setting they either utterly destroy children and spouses, or create duplicates of themselves to spread their particular brand of poisonous behavior.

The malice is the presence of sociopathy. The Orange Pedophilic Sadist is a sociopath. During his first regime, he was diagnosed by psychiatrists as a "Malignant Narcissist" -- the malignance being sociopathy to the point that they don't care if other people die. In fact, they are often the cause of those deaths and suffering. Sound familiar? (I'm a psychiatrist.)

Perfect diagnosis…too bad MSs aren’t self exterminating. Traits that are common among psychopathic serial killers, Kouri observes—a grandiose sense of self-worth, persuasiveness, superficial charm, ruthlessness, lack of remorse, and the manipulation of others—are also shared by politicians and world leaders: individuals running not from the police, but for office."

Republicans in Congress need to be called and emailed every day, demanding they 'Release All the Epstein Files'.

And/or, if no one in the FBI or DOJ will leak them, there are plenty of other sources from defense attorneys' files and records, from the Epstein family estate, financial records from 'following the money', and best of all, from the victims and survivors, themselves. Believe Them!

"We" did not really elect him, i.e., a majority of American voters. According to the "official" election results, he received a bare plurality of the votes. However, post-election hand recounts and analyses, forensic audits and ongoing lawsuits are showing that the results display clear evidence of hacking (a "Russian Tail" hack), in addition to the massive vote/voter suppression in democratic precincts.

Trump and his GOP had to resort to this even though they already have a massive and unrepresentative advantage from their extreme partisan gerrymandering and the antiquated, minoritarian-slanted Electoral College. See electiontruthalliance.org and Smartelections.us along with gregpalast.com for details. We MUST achieve electoral reform and increase election security before the 2026 midterm elections if we expect to have 'free and fair' elections, again.

I don’t know. Last evening I had something of an epiphany after listening to Trump’s UN speech. After the ‘blast’, I realized that Trump is SO ignorant that when he is required to speak intelligently about things he should or could know, he realizes on some level just how woefully inadequate he is intellectually. I wonder if this triggers his insecurity which sends him into attack mode. His combative stance is the only way he can defend himself against his complete inadequacy. He has thus weaponized his insecurity.

Shackled by his intellectual laziness and lack of empathy, he returns to his comfort zone of campaign rhetoric, which is what he believes will win him approval from his base. He is incapable of thoughtfully addressing the issues. He has no opinion…and so relies on those around him who seek to manipulate him for their purposes. He thinks he’s shrewd and can tell whom to trust…but he cannot. He is not grounded in anything but his own limitless and pathological insecurity…full stop.

What a feckless clown-show. It's both unsurprising and still absolutely shocking that he would get up there and, without any kind of script to rein in his worst nonsenses, deny the scientific reality of climate-change to such a completely unhinged degree, and do it so patronisingly to world leaders in the room with him.

It's good to see that the world is already working its way around his anti-science BS: https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2025/sep/23/global-investment-in-renewable-energy-up-10-on-2024-despite-trump-rollback It's increasingly cheaper and more practical to use renewable energy, so nearly every country on Earth is doing it (the US included, but now at a grassroots level), with China making the most progress, which is great, because it's been responsible for a lot of climate-warming emissions.

When it comes to fighting climate change, that global tide of good sense is proving more than enough to push back against Donald's blustering idiocy - for now.

But even so, it's so appalling what he's doing to the US while that process is happening. What a mess.

Yes, true. But as I understand the figures, it's 30% of the global total from China, and 11% from the US (according to 2023 figures). So China cleaning up its act will hopefully make a positive dent that the US's backsliding towards fossil fuels won't be able to offset. It's far from a great situation for a billion different reasons, but it's certainly much better than it was looking before Chinese investment in solar power (that's building going on within China *and* installing Chinese solar tech in other countries) went through the roof in recent years!
