New report could end impeachment inquiry

Comer was just caught allegedly hiding a financial asset – a piece of land that he co-owns with a major political donor – from Congressional authorities. Why?

Per the AP, Comer is using a shell company called Farm Team Properties that he owns with his wife in order to keep his stake in the property “from being revealed on his financial disclosure forms (to Congress).”

Just because Republican hypocrisy occurs with the regularity of the sunrise doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be shocked by this – Comer’s behavior is EXACTLY what he accuses the Biden family of doing.

“Hiding” Hypocrisy

According to the rabid Republicans trying to impeach President Biden, a “shell company” is an inherently scandalous entity… It exists only to hide something.

Following this logic, it's clear that Comer – whose other assets are, according to him at least, “meticulously documented” – is using his shell company to cover up the fact that he co-owns land with mega-donor.

Republicans should be VERY concerned about another shady aspect of the land deal Comer’s hiding:

In 2016, the shell company held only $50,000 to $100,00 in assets. But by 2022, those assets reportedly increased to as much as $1 million.

Why the sudden 10x increase? 🤔

Comer appears dead set on hiding his own sweetheart deals because he knows they would raise red flags with the same Congressional authorities he himself is weaponizing against our president.

Sorry, James. I’m waving the red flag anyway. And now the spotlight is on you. And it’s not looking good:

Legal Experts’ Bad News for Comer

The two legal experts who spoke with AP say Comer is breaking the rules:

1. Delaney Marsco, a senior ethics attorney from the Campaign Legal Center, said it seems clear Comer “should be disclosing the individual land assets that are held by” the shell company. He was “perplexed” as to why Comer hid these assets and not his others.

2. Kathleen Clark, an ethics law professor at Washington University in St. Louis, said “It is hard to trace assets held in shell companies. His is a good example.”

If we reveal Comer’s behavior to the right Congressional authorities, and get it out to the public, this could throw a wrench into Comer’s impeachment inquiry.
