VERY well said. As an Independent, former Republican because of Trump, I can see your points from both sides. Yes, Liberals need to step up more. Some have, but he has been able to get his allies in Congress to defend him, even ones who opposed him initially, like Rand Paul and Lindsey Graham. So many of them have seemingly sold their souls to the devil.

I don’t know if I’d call myself a liberal or a moderate or a progressive because I don’t even know what those things mean anymore. I don’t think I’m a conservative but I recognize the need for debate between the conservative ideology and the liberal ideology and everything in between. Where is the incentive for oil companies to re-invest in Venezuela?
