Mary Trump: I had a chance to talk with my friend and fellow Nerd Avenger, Dean Obeidallah of The Dean Obeidallah Show, about the in your face, gobsmacking corruption of Donald and his useless children, the Kennedy Center fiasco, and what exactly Donald is going to do if he and his party lose the midterms. Enjoy.
Dean Obeidallah: Mary, nice to see you, my friend. We’re living in crazy times.
Mary Trump: Dean, it’s great to see you. It has to be in person one of these days. It’s been far too long.
Dean Obeidallah: Awkward. I don’t even know what that would be like. If we meet in person, we’re going to have to do it by Zoom at the same table because I can’t look at a person in their eyes. I can only look at you on a little Zoom screen.
Mary Trump: It’s almost like COVID days. I see people so rarely still. It’s because we’re all just insanely busy. We’re 49 days out from, and I’m very sorry to keep repeating this, but it happens to be true, the most important election probably in human history. And I don’t think that’s overstating it because thanks to the climate catastrophe, which the Trump regime and other governments around the world are hastening, climate catastrophe means that we don’t have 75 years to turn things around.
Dean Obeidallah: No, we don’t. And hopefully by the end of this discussion, we’ll turn things around. I’m not sure if that’s possible.
Mary Trump: Well, we can.
Dean Obeidallah: You and I can. We are. All right, so let me ask you. Donald Trump Jr., your cousin, had a wedding. You weren’t invited, I know, because we chatted right before it. And at his party, at the wedding, there was an after party thrown by Umar Kremlev, a guy who Putin gave the prestigious honor of the Order of Merit for the Fatherland and also another award, the Order of Friendship. And this guy spent 300 plus thousand dollars on Donald Trump Jr. You know Donald Trump Jr. Is he that likable that someone would just spend 300 plus thousand dollars on him just to be a nice guy because he’s such a good guy and that’s what you would do?
Mary Trump: Dean, what is wrong with having a friend of yours give you such a nice wedding gift? Do you have a problem? Do you have a problem with people being nice to their friends?
Dean Obeidallah: I wasn’t hugged enough as a child. That’s what we’re getting at right now.
Mary Trump: You know who wasn’t hugged enough as a child? My cousin Donnie. Yeah, he is a worthless, useless person who would be shunned by polite society, even Russian oligarchs, not polite society, if he weren’t related to this incredibly powerful and also useless and horrible person, Donald.
So it is so clear that, first of all, I just want to say, who among us has not spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on our weddings?
Dean Obeidallah: I haven’t.
Mary Trump: Why? But conversation for another time. Much more importantly, I think we need to continue to point out just how despicable it is, this in your face grift and corruption, and make it clear from Donald on down that these people, Donald and his useless children, are for sale to the highest bidder, even if those people are the worst people on the planet.
Jared Kushner is buddies with Saudi princes who have murdered people and who are responsible for the human rights violations in Saudi Arabia. Donnie is perfectly happy hanging out with Russian oligarchs who, by definition, are despicable. Anybody who’s getting a medal of friendship from Vladimir Putin is a vile human being. They don’t have any problem with it. Why? Because they too are vile humans who only care about their bottom line, and it’s disgusting that the Republican Party is enabling all of it.
Dean Obeidallah: So there’s Donald Trump Jr. and his brother Eric. They’re the dumb and dumbest, the two of them. But Eric Trump put out a statement saying he has no idea, absolutely no idea, who this Russian guy is. That’s kind of remarkable. They worked together, Donnie Jr. and Eric, and this is an exclusive private wedding. And all of a sudden a Russian guy who’s very big, he’s like the muscle end of the family, is just showing up there. How are you doing? I’m friends with your brother. And that’s my best Russian accent I can do.
Mary Trump: It was good.
Dean Obeidallah: It was okay. What do you think is going on where Eric Trump is like, I want nothing to do with this guy. I don’t know who the guy is, and he was on our island. I don’t get it, but he was at the wedding and then there’s the after party.
Mary Trump: First of all, I guess he’s gunning for plausible deniability here.
Dean Obeidallah: Yeah, it seems that way.
Mary Trump: So too, I think Todd Blanche is trying to cover for Donald. I’m like, I don’t know, whatever. I mean, his son can do whatever he wants. Well, no, he can, but I guess he can if the Republicans are in charge.
Here’s the thing though, and if anybody’s interested, I will tell you who is the stupidest of the children. But before we get to that, Eric is the guy who, in the 2010s, said very openly that all of the money for the Trump Organization is coming from Russia. So he is like:
Oh, we have so much money coming in from Russia.
It is absurd to think that Eric doesn’t know this guy or doesn’t know who this guy is. And also remember, what’s her name? Ivanka, who is pretending that she has nothing to do with any of this. She was very close friends with a woman who was Vladimir Putin’s girlfriend. So she’s been to the Kremlin. I mean, come on, these people are bought and paid for, and it’s all so they can get richer than they’ve ever been before at our expense and, quite frankly, at the expense of national security.
To your point, did Donnie get that money because he’s such a great guy and people love being friends with him? No, he’s an idiot who has nothing to offer. He got it because, hey, he can get this Russian guy some favor from Donald. That’s it.
Dean Obeidallah: And Donald Trump Jr., to remind people, there is a national security aspect. He owns shares and he’s on a board of a military drone company and other Pentagon companies. He’s a big equity holder in some of them. So these guys, it really seems like they are manipulating. He is their asset.
And I’m not saying he’s definitely a Russian asset, that kind of stuff. That seems from the first term, that kind of thing, we would say that. But there’s something going on where there’s a relationship going on. And I had on Joe Cirincione, who is a national security expert, and he said:
In America, we say there’s no free lunch. In Russia, they say the only free cheese is in a mousetrap.
That’s their expression.
Mary Trump: I saw that, actually. He’s in a mousetrap.
Dean Obeidallah: I saw your mouse. So they’re giving him some. It’s quid pro quo in their mind. It’s an investment by them. It’s not a gift. And it’s probably Putin involved in funneling this money to him, I mean, to buy this special vacation.
Mary Trump: It’s an investment that Putin has been making since the 80s, and it has paid off beyond his wildest dreams. Let’s be very clear about that. Vladimir Putin could not have imagined that investing in Donald Trump’s corruption and narcissism and insecurity and megalomania would pay off the way it has because who could have anticipated that the entirety of the Republican Party would be totally fine with it and encourage it and enable it? It’s very bad, and they all need to be made to pay.

Dean Obeidallah: And then Todd Blanche, who’s Trump’s personal lawyer, moonlighting as Attorney General, was asked yesterday:
Are you going to investigate this? He’s friends with Putin.
About Umar Kremlev, the guy who gave money to Don Jr. for the big trip, the nice vacation. And Blanche goes:
I don’t know his friends. I don’t know his friends.
I’m like, there’s a thing called Google, Todd. You will see photos, various photos of Umar Kremlev getting an award from Vladimir Putin, two different awards, two different awards from the guy. He won’t even do that. So the guy who protected Donald from Epstein’s stuff is now protecting the kid from this stuff.
Mary Trump: Todd Blanche, Heinrich Himmler, I think, is the person he most reminds me of. On the surface, I think I posted something like:
Todd Blanche is what happens when you give beige power.
He’s so colorless and boring seeming, but underneath it all, clearly a power hungry monster who will debase himself to anybody with more power than he has to get more power. I mean, I don’t know what the charges would be, but this guy is at the very top of the list, other than Stephen Miller perhaps, who needs to go to The Hague.
Dean Obeidallah: Oh, yes. And not as a tourist, as a defendant. We need him to go as a defendant. Todd Blanche is not concerned that the son of the president is being wined and dined and given lavish gifts by a man tied almost to the inner circle of Vladimir Putin. He’s very close to that. I’m not trying to oversell it by saying he’s the inner circle, but he’s pretty close to the inner circle, and there are a lot of photos with them together.
He’s doing the work of Vladimir Putin. That should be a concern for the Attorney General of the United States and Donald Trump Jr. If he had any ethics or morals, they can’t do this. Sorry. Because they’re all in the family.
Jared Kushner, we just learned from The New Yorker, while being the peace envoy, was working on getting a piece for himself, and he got $5 billion from the Middle East. The same people he’s talking about making a peace deal over Iran, he literally gathered $5 billion in investments for Affinity Partners, which is a hedge fund. This is a level of corruption. It’s nauseating. It makes you want to vomit. We’ve never seen this.
Mary Trump: We’ve never seen it, but if we don’t change the way things are done, we’ll keep seeing more of it because what worries me is that it’s getting normalized because it is so out in the open. It’s sort of like when Donald was getting away with all of his crimes and being accused of how many, 91 indictments Jack Smith had against him.
I think it was so over the top and it seemed unfathomable that one person could be a single handed crime spree. And it’s like people are thinking:
Well, if it were really that bad, he wouldn’t be so open about it.
Well, guess what? That’s part of the strategy here. And that’s why I actually think that the United States, when we get Democrats back into power, we need to demand that the United States joins the International Criminal Court because I do not trust our system to be able to handle the kinds of accountability required in order for us to survive this moment.
And Democrats have a horrible history of saying we need to look forward, not back. You know what? Accountability isn’t looking back. It’s looking back and forward. It’s saying we can’t go forward until we settle this and hold these people accountable in a real way. And I just don’t trust our system to be able to handle that.
Dean Obeidallah: We had a discussion last night on my show with listeners about, we all know when Democrats get the House and the Senate, they need to hold the Trump regime accountable. But the question is, will they? Do they have the courage to go after Donald Trump Jr.? Do they have the courage to go after Jared Kushner? Will they have hearings about Pete Hegseth?
Yes, definitely, that stuff is going to be easy, right? But will they go further to uncover the corruption? Will they bring people in who are doing business with Donald Trump and subpoena them? And we don’t know. And it was really a good debate, and I’m trying not to say anything critical of Democrats before November 3rd because I want us to be united, but November 4th, it’s on.
So, I mean, when they get control of the House, they’re definitely going to get the House. Mary, is it up to us to pressure them, to call them, and make sure they hold these people accountable and have the right hearings?
Mary Trump: If you enjoy this kind of content, please drop us a like and subscribe to the channel. And don’t forget to leave a comment below. Your support really does make a difference. Thanks.
Dean Obeidallah: So, I mean, when they get control of the House, they’re definitely going to get the House. Mary, is it up to us to pressure them, to call them, and make sure they hold these people accountable and have the right hearings?
Mary Trump: Yes, absolutely. And I think it’s up to us to start primarying people in 27 and 28 who fail to do that. And again, I think part of it’s cultural. We have this very long history of all presidents, all parties in power, failing us.
Richard Nixon pardoned, sorry, Gerald Ford pardoned Richard Nixon, which is a massive mistake, and you could argue that that’s how we got Donald. But people forget he also pardoned Robert E. Lee posthumously because who’s the audience for that pardon, by the way? But many people don’t remember this. Jimmy Carter pardoned the president of the Confederacy, Jefferson Davis.
Dean Obeidallah: Oh, he did? I didn’t know that. I know he pardoned the Vietnam, anyone who dodged the draft.
Mary Trump: But that I’m down with, but the president of the Confederacy.
Dean Obeidallah: Again, I didn’t know that.
Mary Trump: Jefferson Davis. And then, of course, you have Obama saying:
Oh, it’s okay, bankers, that you bankrupted millions of people. You’re fine. We’re not going to do anything about that.
And George W. Bush was never held accountable for torturing people. So it’s like we have to look forward, not ahead. No, we have to stop and take a real accounting of where we are. Otherwise, there’s no point. It won’t matter who wins if we fail that test. So we need to put massive amounts of pressure. Luckily, there are a lot of really good candidates coming up through the Democratic Party who could be real forces for good if they get it.
Dean Obeidallah: No doubt. And they won their nominations in blue districts and they are not status quo Democrats. That’s the biggest thing. There’s the corporate Democrats who are one thing, and they’re just about the money. Then there’s the status quo ones. They might not be corporate, but they just want to go back to the way things were. We just want to get the ACA subsidies back. I’m like, life wasn’t great before that. Let’s be transformative. How about that? Let’s be bold and try to change things for the better.
Mary Trump: Dean, that’s the whole ballgame right there because going back, that’s what got us here. So we’re just going to keep doing this. And by the way, going back never means fixing anything. It just means reverting to something that’s comfortable for establishment Democrats where they can live in this fictional world of bipartisanship, which doesn’t exist.
So transformative change is necessary because going back means that when Republicans get back into power, they continue to shift the Overton window further and further to the right. And then when Democrats get back into power, they never shift things back to the left. So we’re just going to get more and worse fascism if we are not willing to do everything in our power to reimagine the way we do everything and approach governance.
Dean Obeidallah: Absolutely. And look, everybody listening, it’s going to be up to us as well to play a role in that. After the election, press Democrats in ways they’re not used to. They’re not used to us clamoring for them to do things that the base wants. They’re just not. Republicans are. Republican officeholders fear their base a great deal, or at least respect them. In our case, some do listen to us, but most of them tolerate us or ignore us, so that’s going to change.
But let’s talk about something else. So Donald Trump literally had the Kennedy Center shut down because he couldn’t have his name on it, and he threatened yesterday. The renovations are conditional on renaming it, naming it again after him. What happened to him? What is so deeply wrong with your uncle that this is the guy? He shut down a monument that John F. Kennedy was assassinated in 1963. You can’t let that be. You’ve got to have your name on a memorial for a president who was assassinated. What is wrong? Help me.
Mary Trump: What is wrong with him? Where to start? My God. I wrote a book about it, if anyone’s interested.
Look, I think this guy, he’s the most insecure person who’s ever lived. He knows what a loser he is on some deep, dark level. It terrifies him. He’s a scared little boy. He’s always been a scared little boy, and it makes him incapable of caring about anything. And you could argue he doesn’t even care about himself, even though he comes across as somebody who only cares about himself.
But here’s the thing, though. He’s a nihilist. I’ve been saying this since 2020, in advance of the election. And I remember this very clearly. I think I still have a clip of it somewhere. I was being interviewed by some British journalist and I said:
If Donald loses or if he feels like he’s going down, he’s going to take all of us down with him.
And the guy laughed and he was like:
You can’t be serious.
And I’m like:
Yes, I’m very serious.
And here we are at this moment of reckoning because the Kennedy Center is just emblematic of what is going to happen in the bigger picture. He can have something that he claims to pretend is important to him, so guess what? He’s going to tear it to the ground. Okay, that’s sane.
What I’m much more interested in and worried about is that there is a board of directors at the Kennedy Center, full of alleged adult human beings, who are going along with all of it. And that, Dean, is our biggest problem, that dozens, scores, hundreds, thousands of adult human beings are totally okay, who are cosigning all of this. Whereas Representative, I think Beatty is her name?
Dean Obeidallah: Joyce Beatty, yeah.
Mary Trump: Joyce Beatty. She is the only person in this room looking around saying:
Are we really doing this while Donald is having a temper tantrum on speakerphone?
And the rest of them are like:
Yes, if the judge doesn’t allow his name to go back up, we will destroy the Kennedy Center.
That is insanity.
Dean Obeidallah: Again, it was named after John Kennedy as a memorial because of his love of the arts after he was assassinated, an act of Congress. It’s not really hard. Donald controls the House and Senate, Republicans. He could get them to pass an act of Congress to amend it, to put his name up there, but he knows it won’t pass. He won’t get the votes. He’ll get some votes, but not what you need. So that’s why he can’t even go to Congress.
Look, you mentioned Donald Trump wants to burn things down if he can’t get his way. Is there any scenario, and you know him, that he loses the House, he loses the Senate, his life is getting really harsh next year, and a few months in, they really are doing investigations? Then he leaves and he goes:
You know what? I’ve made $2 billion. I have enough. I’m just going to play golf every day. I don’t even care what you do.
Either resigns or literally just checks out as president in name only?
Mary Trump: Well, he’s already done that. He plays golf every day. He’s getting rich. He’s making money hand over fist. No, his narcissism will not allow him to walk away because that is admitting. It’s the same reason he can never admit he’s wrong, because that’s admitting you lost the argument or you’ve lost. And he is constitutionally incapable of doing that.
So we are stuck with him unless and until the Republican Party realizes that he’s way too big a liability or he becomes so obvious. Now, look, I would argue that he’s already obviously incapacitated, but clearly not enough for too many people. If he’s incapacitated in a way in which he cannot function, which apparently, as evidenced by Mitch McConnell’s miraculous return to Congress, means that you can’t be able to sit in a wheelchair and be immobile. Apparently that’s not incapacitated enough. You have to be even more incapacitated than that.
So, I mean, they’re going to Weekend at Bernie’s Donald as long as they feel like he is viable, just as they’re Weekend at Bernie’s McConnell because they need his vote and he’s willing to, I mean, to the extent that he has will anymore, I don’t know. So this is how corrupt, cruel, and desperate this party is right now.
Dean Obeidallah: And the one thing I would say is that if people want to game things out, the 22nd Amendment, which doesn’t allow a president to serve more than two terms, it says you can serve up to 10 years. So what that means is, JD Vance, if Donald were to stay in office until after January and they go:
You know what?
And the people around him go:
You’ve got to go. That’s it.
JD Vance could serve the last less than two years and then do two more terms after that if he were able to win, which would be the worst case scenario. But if they wanted to do some kind of stranglehold in the White House, I think they could do it. I just want to put that out there just to scare people. I know it’s Wednesday. Why not scare people?
By the way, so everyone’s talking about AI and AI and the concerns about it. And Donald writes:
I’m a genius. Just leave it up to me. I’ll protect everyone from AI.
Do you think we should trust an 80 year old demented man with preserving humanity? How’s that? Sound pretty good to you? A good deal?
Mary Trump: That sounds like a rhetorical question. Wow. Yeah. When I saw those images of Mitch McConnell, I was like:
AI slop is getting a little too scary for me right now.
First of all, it has something to do with somebody’s intelligence. It has to do with being able to regulate it properly. And Donald is not going to do anything to rein in AI because it’s making him rich, because these people know that all they need to do to get their way is to throw him a few bucks, and the few bucks is a few billion dollars.
So it should be very telling to us that Donald’s so called fortune was kind of like this until the bankruptcies in the 90s and then back like that, went up a little bit after The Apprentice, and now it’s through the roof. From the 80s to the aughts, that fortune of his was my grandpa’s money.
Dean Obeidallah: He was rich because Daddy was rich.
Mary Trump: So he’s never actually made a living in his life. Why all of a sudden? It’s not because he suddenly got good at something. So do we really think that somebody that incapable, even when he isn’t decompensating and declining physically and cognitively, do we really think that Donald, even at his best, could handle the AI situation if he knows that letting it go will enrich him? No, because he knows what his priorities are, and this is what happens when you put into a position of power somebody who literally cares about nothing but money.
Dean Obeidallah: Donald Trump has NI, no intelligence, or SI for superficial intelligence, narcissistic intelligence with Donald Trump. Last thing in the last minute here, I don’t know if you saw 9/11. Donald fell asleep again, but his mouth was drooping once again. And it makes a lot of doctors raise questions about, is there a stroke? But then you see him another time and that’s gone. But what do you make of this?
Mary Trump: Again, not a medical doctor, but from what I understand, if you have a series of mini strokes, that could have. It’s not permanent, clearly, because we’ve seen it many times, but it’s not a good sign.
Again, not a medical doctor, but he looks terrible. Your mouth shouldn’t droop like that. Your ankles shouldn’t be like tree trunks. You should be able to walk in a straight line. You should not be falling asleep all day long in meetings. All of those are very bad signs that point to serious physical and cognitive decline. And obviously, as we know, he has very longstanding undiagnosed, untreated psychiatric disorders that, of course, are getting worse and worse and worse. The guy has no impulse control anymore whatsoever.
Dean Obeidallah: It’s astounding that this is real life. Isn’t it, folks? Everyone’s like, what? Before I let you go, Mary, where’s the best place for people to follow your work?
Mary Trump: Okay, check out my Substack. It’s called The Good in Us, and we also have a Mary Trump Media YouTube channel, so it’s free to subscribe to both of those things. We’d love to have you join. We have great communities, just as Dean has a great community, and it would be wonderful if we grew them all together because we really need each other.
Dean Obeidallah: We absolutely do. Now more than ever, my friends. Forty nine days. It’s the most important election in the history of this republic. Mary, thank you so much. It’s great seeing you. Thanks, everyone, for tuning in. I appreciate it. Have a great day, everybody.
Mary Trump: Thanks, everybody. Bye. Please leave a comment in the section below and let’s keep the conversation going. Remember when the Repulsicans went after Hunter Biden? They were relantless. They're strangely silent about Trumps grifting kids.
Thank you! We live in unbelieveably insane times where each day just seems more crazy than the last. This definitely is the most important election in our history.
