Wow, I'm floored by this. I had just started reading his substack only a few months ago and it quickly became required reading for me every day. He was uncanny in his ability to detail how the mainstream media constantly under cuts Biden's accomplishments, overplays his faults, and generally holds Democrats to a different and losing standard than they do Republicans. I'd come to depend on his insightful takes, it's devastating to know that there will be no more.
I am a long time subscriber to Press Run and loved that he recorded his newsletter so I could listen on the go. I will miss hearing his voice. He was shining a light on how the press has been failing us. So sorry for his family and all who knew him.

Like all of you, I found Eric Boehlert an indispensable writer and lover of democracy. We will all miss him so much, both his acute journalistic criticism and his appreciation of music. The songs, each one so well chosen and introduced, with which he concluded his newsletters “because we all need a break,” taught me so much. My sympathies to his family in their great loss.

I learned of his death at the end of tonight's ReidOut on MSNBC. It is so sad. He will be missed.
