When are these hapless flunkies going to realize that their only purpose is to break the law on Donald Trump's behalf and to climb onto the sacrificial altar when the outrage reaches critical?
Could be, but I'm pretty sure he gets money or something of value to him for EVERY pardon he signs. He probably expects the women he's kicked out to pay even more for a pardon than the men do. The only other reason he'd pardon someone is to keep them from blackmailing him. But if they're pardoned, they cannot take the 5th in court if he's brought to trial for any crime they were pardoned for.
I would not take a bet on that myself. He did not pardon or help some of his lawyers who ended up with felonies and lost law licenses. I do not think anyone likes Kristi Neom and her boyfriend. Since she tried to out do Trump with stupid ad campaighn he may not bail either one out. If Trump felt Pam Bondi embarrassed him with how she acted at the house hearing where she thought she was in HS cheerleading class may have turn Trump off enough also.
Not necessarily. I expect he's been paid big bucks by MOST, if not ALL, of the people he's pardoned. Also, if they accept a pardon they can't take the 5th if he's brought to trial for one of the crimes they got pardoned for. (Of course, I expect old age to take him out before he ends up in court.)
Agree. That was my failed attempt to be sarcastic, which I use occasionally to lessen my own anxiety.
As we know at this point, Trump has always functioned well outside the law. And he’s NEVER been held accountable.
So as long as he holds the “golden throne”, we can expect continued lawlessness, until someone decides it’s time to stop him. (By whatever means necessary.)
The good news is that he’s friggin’ OLD and rapidly decaying!
No one will follow Vance and no one likes Vance. He’s doesn’t have the charisma that Rumbo has or the art of lying. It’s second nature to Rumbo ... he lies like breathing. Vance gets booed wherever he goes. It’ll be hard to follow in Rumbo footsteps. Rumbo is the Replubikkan Party now. When (IF?) we return to normalcy, laws will need to be written to prevent anyone convicted of 34 felonies, who a racist, rapist and a pedophile to ever hold office again. Accountability is absolutely required. No more Merrick Garlands. More of Jack Smiths.
In school we were taught the founders were always worried about a bad (evil) man being elected to the presidency. They put in some things in the constitution that they thought were safeguards. Yet they apparently thought US voters wouldn't vote for a felon, so they didn't bother to include a "no felons" rule for running for the presidency. They would be so ashamed of the Republican party (for letting him on the ballot for the primaries) and the US voters for voting for this slimebag (especially after 1/6/21).
Trump may be in deeper trouble than anybody knows. He’s made a long list of enemies and some of them would probably get rid of him and he said if they have a chance. He’s doing something really scary because he’s firing generals the way Hitler did. Trump doesn’t wanna hear the truth from the experts so because he’s such an evil narcissistic histrionic pathological liar he ignores the inconvenient truth. I write about this on my Substack
Don’t be surprised if there is some sort of military coup against the Trump regime. It’ll probably be silent and relatively bloodless but I think it’s coming.
They already got rid of the generals who were intelligent and had some moral fiber. This regime thinks they can do everything Hitler did, but omit his mistakes, so they can win uncontested power for "GOP" for at least the next 50 years.
The generals and the high command in Nazi Germany attempted to kill Hitler. It seems like those men have more integrity than high ranking members of the American military.
Maybe the plan is to allow Trump to keep fucking up and fucking up and fucking up so that if somebody does take him out he will not be seen as some sort of martyr? The problem with that theory is that Trump is just a symptom of the corruption, plundering and depravity of the people who are really in power, the FILTHY RICH!
It's my understanding that those in the military who tried to kill Hitler weren't doing it for any moral reason - they were still true Nazis. They just saw that if they kept doing what Hitler wanted they were going to lose the war.
A lot of the people who were in high positions in the military even before Hitler or Aristocats. Whether they were evil or not, who knows? They did know that Hitler was a screwup and bad for every aspect of Germany.
I don’t believe from what I’ve read that they were Nazis At least not Nazis at heart like people like Trump and Elon Musk. What is apparent today Is that Trump is putting in the same kind of people Hitler installed in his regime. For instance, Fox News is the propaganda wing of the Republican Party.
There were over 40 attempts on Hitler’s life. They all failed. That brings me to wondering about God, if won’t exists, why he would permit that kind of evil.
Supposedly in mid 1944, The allies could’ve assassinated Hitler. They didn’t because they wanted Germany absolutely destroyed So that none of these German people Who were charmed by Hitler would not see Hitler as a martyr.
There are factions within our government like the CIA spooks who could easily take out the orange menace and make it look like natural causes but I suspect They are waiting until Americans feel a lot more pain besides pain at the pump. Let’s be honest, Most people really suck especially the ones in the Bible Belt. They don’t give a shit about anything but themselves and they prove it time and time again.
Germans today soundly condemn Nazism. The white creatures in the Bible belt Still honor her their confederate Nazis. There is a genetic predisposition of the people who settled south of Mason-Dixon line long before 1776 and the revolutionary war
Trump may hire these flunkies and ask kissers not just for the flattery he can’t get enough of but so that he can blame these incompetent people for his mistakes as well as their mistakes and lack of vision and their natural born depravity.
Well, as we all know by now, that’s where the midterms come in, and exactly why doofus donny is doing everything he can to control the voting process - INCLUDING starting an illegal Wag the Dog war with Iran without congressional approval and oversight with no exit strategy, and, oh, by the way, he now claims - INSISTS - he needs an additional $200B for military and an increased budget in 2027 to a jaw-dropping $1.5 TRILLION in lieu of Medicare, childcare etc.
Someone wake me up and make the insanity stop!!! PLEASE!!!🙏
Mary, thank you for your hard work and relentless efforts to clarify, analyse and evaluate the latest chaotic daily plight of Donald Trump.
You certainly give us a transparency, honesty and integrity in your synopsis. You are meant to carry out this role. It’s extraordinary, credible and supportive, as are you. ✌🏾💕
Yeah, it’s hard to have any sympathy for Pammy Jo. She thought if she kissed enough orange ass, she could keep her gig as Attorney General. As you have pointed out many times, Mary, it’s never enough for your addlebrained, convicted felon uncle. Even some diehard MAGAs are waking up to that.
It was funny to see her so frazzled she referred to the Dow numbers as "dollars." And that was irrelevant, anyway, but I am sure Trump told her "when the going gets tough, always say something about how great the stock market is." As if your average person really gives a damn about that - they worry about the cost of living, and keeping a job so they don't get thrown out in the street. Trump never, ever had to even work for anyone but his father until these idiots voted him in to this "government job."
I immediately knew she had no ideas what the Dow Jones is. She obviously has never read about it. So how many stocks are on the DJIA, Pam, 500, 25,000? She must remember that $25,000 is the BRIBE she took from Trump as Florida AG to drop the fraud lawsuit against Trump University.
The $25,000 to Bondi is why I always refer to her as a criminal. She is slimy and always has been. See what Rick Wilson (longtime FL resident and GOP operative) has to say about her.
“It’s hard to imagine anybody who did as much to meet Donald’s demands as Pam Bondi and the lesson here is that in the end nobody will be found to be loyal enough, sycophantic enough, or corrupt enough to stay on Donald’s good side.”
Trump’s blatantly under-qualified, corrupt, criminal, thuggish, lawless, 3 stooges regime feels like we’re watching an endless SNL skit. And it would be hilarious if we didn’t know that it’s all TRUE!
So all these appointments under the guise of DEI was in of itself a grift one the most corrupt of all time across these agencies that will take time while the hundreds of thousands of our best service workers are no longer employed.
Now that we have gotten rid of the worst AG we’ve had in years, it is time to get rid of the worst secretary of defence that we’ve had in centuries. get rid of the loser Hegseth ASAP.
Looks like that may need to wait. He's firing the women first. Tulsi Gabbard is next. I'm guessing karoline is going to lose her job relatively soon as well
Unfortunately the Democratic Party is also controlled by oligarchs. So, what happens next? Campaign Finance MUST be addressed. In a Democracy, political parties must be beholden to the voters, not to oligarchs.
I still don’t understand (nor will I ever) why so many sycophants kowtow to his every whim. The guy’s gonna die sooner than later and then where will they be? How does he maintain so much power in his dotage? Is it really the grifting, hatred of most humans including US citizens, and his goals to be the meanest MFer in world history? Ugh!
I agree with you about this Mary. It will take decades to try and get him and his deviant behavior he’s guilty of. I personally don’t like him either but wow they both deserved that! I can’t think of any person who thinks he’s done anything wrong. 🙄🤬 Bondi and Noem lol 😂. He got that one right. I think Levitt needs to be next and Patel. JD will probably at some point will be thrown under the bus. That’s the truth.
As another commenter noted, he’s going for the women first. While I have no sympathy for Pam, Kristi or the others, I’ll say that making them walk the plank first is his misogyny at work.
Fred Trump taught Donald to lie and never accept blame/responsibility for anything. He is doing what he was taught, the self deception of perfection.
Donald must maintain his image as unaccountable “Teflon Donald.” Bondi is another of the Donald’s “Nasty” disposable women, a distraction from his war of choice that has turned into a nightmare.
Fred Trump taught him to lie and never accept responsibility. Roy Cohn, one of the most evil beings to disgrace this planet, taught him to hit back even harder than he was hit, even if it means making up something that destroys that person’s life (Cohn’s métier), and to never apologize.
As much as I detest the Fake Tan Führer, it was a kind of poetic justice when Donald abandoned Roy when he was dying of AIDS.
Donald was also taught that relationships have no intrinsic value, this explains why he discards people like objects when he is finished with what he sees as only a transactional relationship.
If your boss tells you to break the law, or simply do something unethical, said boss will throw you under the bus to save their own skin. Always.
I learned that lesson on an early job. I didn’t do the thing my boss wanted me to do. I lost that job and was denied unemployment benefits because I was fired for “insubordination.” Luckily, I found another job fairly quickly: I explained the situation to the person who interviewed me, who gave me a knowing glance. Apparently, the boss who fired me had more of a reputation than I’d realized. Later, I found out that he told my replacement, and other employees, to do something illegal. When the cards fell, he left them to face the legal consequences by themselves.
You would think that folks working in pay grades far above the ones I was at would understand such things, especially since DT is an even more overtly egregious and pernicious version of the boss I had all of those years ago.
Same thing happened to me. Boss ordered me to do something illegal. I refused. He said he would fire me. So, I did it; once, and I told him that I would NEVER do it again. He came back in 3 days and told me to do it again. I quit on the spot and walked out the door.
No negative consequences and I had no trouble finding another job. I even told the interviewer at the next job exactly what had happened. I was hired.
Yeah - you’d think. I wonder more about his followers and worker bees than I do about him. Some of them are as crazy obsessive as he is - Hegseth, RFK jr, Miller. They’re easier to explain as complete nutcases who inhabit alternate realities. Others, like the billionaire bro backers, obviously want more money and power and don’t care about anything else. That leaves a whole lot of people who support him and work for him. They’re the ones who make me wonder what mental quirks they have, what lusts or fears, that keep them on board in the face of his growing mental and emotional instability and his frantic need for fall guys to take the blame for his glaringly public faults and failures. After all, if everyone left, he couldn’t do much on his own. At some point, wouldn’t the saner ones jump ship?
Just the people doing basic jobs in the executive branch - hoping for better - needing their paychecks. And people who always voted republican because that’s what their family and friends always did. You would never know their names - but who enable work to be done. Are they leaving, and we don’t hear about it? Are they stuck because of paycheck? Those are great questions, Donna. I know Republicans of whom you speak. Some, as you say, have voted for the party because their families or others in their milieux voted that way. Others — and these are positions I still respect—believed in fiscal conservatism or individual liberty. (Remember that in the early days of the Civil Rights movement, it was Southern Democrats who opposed it and wanted “segregation forever” while Northeastern Republicans allied with urban Democrats on the issue.) At least one such person I know says, “I never voted for Trump.” Did they vote for Democrats or other candidates but don’t want to admit it. (I don’t ask people who they voted for.) Did they abstain from voting altogether?
When are these hapless flunkies going to realize that their only purpose is to break the law on Donald Trump's behalf and to climb onto the sacrificial altar when the outrage reaches critical?
They're all like him, self-centered greedy people who also love power. It's worth the risk to them.
How much you want to bet that there are already "Pre-printed and Signed" Pardons for Most, if not All of his "Cabinet"?
Could be, but I'm pretty sure he gets money or something of value to him for EVERY pardon he signs. He probably expects the women he's kicked out to pay even more for a pardon than the men do. The only other reason he'd pardon someone is to keep them from blackmailing him. But if they're pardoned, they cannot take the 5th in court if he's brought to trial for any crime they were pardoned for.
Wouldn't surprise me, since everything Felon47 does is transactional in some form.
He wouldn't do them, otherwise.
Not being American I did not know one could not use the fifth if pardoned, thank I learned some more about your law.
They must already have a form to just quick date, sign, done.
Here comes the AUTOPEN. 😁
Autopen!
They know Trump will pardon them IF he’s still around. And that’s a big IF, unless, at some point, there’s an ongoing Weekend at Bernie’s episode.
I think there is already a weekend with Bernie's going on - Mitch McConnell.
Too little, too late.

NEVER EVER TRUST A BULLY because they are SO insecure narcissistic and paranoid that sooner than later..
EVERYONE becomes one of their TARGETS!!

Exactly. With a bully, loyalty isn’t protection, it’s just a temporary delay.
When insecurity is running the show, everyone eventually becomes the target.
They know. They like the power.
Trump may hire these flunkies and ask kissers not just for the flattery he can’t get enough of but so that he can blame these incompetent people for his mistakes as well as their mistakes and lack of vision and their natural born depravity.
Never
The real shock isn’t that it keeps happening, it’s that people still think they’ll be the exception instead of the next name on the list.
No way should we cut Noem nor Bondi any slack. Both need to be in prison.
The entire lawless regime needs to be in prison!
Whose gonna prosecute
Well, as we all know by now, that’s where the midterms come in, and exactly why doofus donny is doing everything he can to control the voting process - INCLUDING starting an illegal Wag the Dog war with Iran without congressional approval and oversight with no exit strategy, and, oh, by the way, he now claims - INSISTS - he needs an additional $200B for military and an increased budget in 2027 to a jaw-dropping $1.5 TRILLION in lieu of Medicare, childcare etc.

It sure feels like it right now!
It should be Jack Smith.
Jack Smith comes to mind.

Up for ONE day, steadily dropping ever since.
They are in a cult!! The loyalty and lack of morals is very concerning.
At this point it’s beyond the point of no return
“It’s hard to imagine anybody who did as much to meet Donald’s demands as Pam Bondi and the lesson here is that in the end nobody will be found to be loyal enough, sycophantic enough, or corrupt enough to stay on Donald’s good side.”

No one paid any attention to the mental health professionals way back in 2015 when they warned if he was elected it would be a train wreck
I heard someone ask if he fired her, why did Trump say "we love Pam" etc. Obviously because she knows exactly what is in the Epstein files.
I still don’t understand (nor will I ever) why so many sycophants kowtow to his every whim. The guy’s gonna die sooner than later and then where will they be? My guess is a combination of blackmail, bribery, greed, and just for power.
Lust*
I have wondered that for years.
I agree with you about this Mary. It will take decades to try and get him and his deviant behavior he’s guilty of. I personally don’t like him either but wow they both deserved that! So did trump's late attorney roy cohn.
Everything is always THE BEST. His playbook is so readable - the MAGAT mob is undeniably uneducated and ignorant.
Fred Trump taught him to lie and never accept responsibility. Roy Cohn, one of the most evil beings to disgrace this planet, taught him to hit back even harder than he was hit, even if it means making up something that destroys that person’s life (Cohn’s métier), and to never apologize.

. . . "the one thing he can’t be protected from is himself." Thankfully this will ensure his downfall.
trump uses the most loyal to him as scapegoats, now watch as Leavitt falls from favor next, after all it's girls first! Right?
…or Tulsi Gabbard
Exactly
