Great piece, Mary❤️.

The biggest scam in politics (besides Donald and his entire family—not you, Mary😉) is convincing people to ignore what they’re actually living through. It’s amazing how “I’ll fix everything on day one” somehow turned into “None of this is his fault.” You can’t take credit for every success and dodge responsibility for every failure. Americans are paying more, allies are questioning us, and the world is way less stable because of this entitled global menace. People who had their head in the sand are finally getting pissed because his empty promises don’t match their reality.

And may I just say that I don’t think a President should own a social media platform and post things as they fly into his head that more than likely should be discussed and vetted by experienced government people first……..and eventually posted in official messaging from the White House.

MLT wrote: "an ignorant, ill-informed man with no understanding of history, diplomacy, or international alliances." I believe you left out the word "incurious." I know plenty of people who have a lot to learn. But they're interested in learning, they want to know more, they strive for better. Donald's vanity and lack of curiosity mean that he's in a world he can't get out of, all the terms you used above.

We are not wealthy but we’ve been comfortable in our retirement so far. All of the sudden the last couple of months we’ve had to start tapping savings as our retirement and social security payments aren’t covering our expenses like they were. Our supplemental health insurance just jumped, utility bills are much higher and when we bought groceries last week we were shocked at how much things went up. Weird example but I needed a bottle of bleach which used to be in the 1-2 dollar range was over $5 for the store brand! Sweet corn $6 per dozen when last year it was $4. And the unexpected stuff hitting like we each need a tooth crown doesn’t help.

Starting a war with Iran is the biggest American foreign policy blunder in generations.

Below in the comments, Sam Buddy rightly accuses Trump of being incurious. Trump's also amazingly ignorant: Alexander the Great, the greatest military genius in history, needed ten years of war to defeat the Persian empire and loot Persepolis.

I am not seeing an endgame here, just Trump dancing around like a silly fool trying to figure out what to do next, reacting rather than leading as you write.

Meanwhile people suffer, and many will die. Like Elon, Trump is a mass murderer. Now Trump's bombing civilian infrastructure, and thus committing war crimes in the American people's names.

Of course Trump is also trying to destroy the International Criminal Court at The Hague, since he's an international criminal. Makes perfect sense, tragically for humanity.

It’s one thing not to keep a promise. But to blame that failure on someone or something else—or to say that it isn’t a failure—is the opposite of leadership.

Understandably absent from this article was the *cause* of "Higher Prices, Greater Instability".

The cause is not Donald. He is a long-time, well-known con artist, and con artists do what con artists do. I don't blame someone for behaving as who they are.

The real cause for high gas prices is the people who voted for Donald in the first place and are now complaining about what the con artist they voted for has done as they pump expensive gas.

I can understand how they got duped the first time he ran and was elected, but to have let it happen again was totally inexcusable. So I don't feel one bit sorry for them having to pay high gas prices. Suck it up, you jerks.
