Psychologists like to think they are like Freudians and so they talk with people with problems and try to use conversation and verbal tricks which seem to rarely do much good. I have always thought that a verbal friend with empathy could do more good with talking to someone with problems. I guess that's a proposition that could use some scientific study. Maybe it's been done.

When I was a kid in second grade my parents sent me to the Catholic school for religious instructions. A lot of kids families couldn’t afford to pay the tuition at a Catholic school but we were Catholics. When I started it here in the shit the nuns were telling us Even when I was eight years old it sounded like bullshit to me.
