“Too women,” you mean too MANY

Excellent post, Dr. Trump. Thank you for being so direct and coming with the facts.

Any woman who marries in states prohibiting abortions is foolhardy, any woman who willingly becomes pregnant in those states is suicidal. The unnecessary and preventable death of a woman and her unborn child is murder.

I had an ectopic pregnancy not too long after Roe was legalized and was rushed into emergency surgery. This occurred in Idaho. If this had happened today I doubt I would be alive.

I'm sorry to read about your loss. I'm glad you are still here.

I live in England and worked for the NHS. And ectopic babies will not survive but the mother should.

Maja Ramirez's avatar

When you write “ectopic babies” I’m sure the anti-choice zealots will read that as “But SOME ectopic pregnancies are savable!” when that is NOT the case

Val Fieth's avatar

Yes it is never the case. But the mother can be saved.

They aren’t babies.

I was also a pupil midwife and the babies that I delivered are 59 years old now.

Amazing and wonderful!

Maybe just say ectopic pregnancies instead of "ectopic babies." We have a lot of really dumb people here in the US.

Thank you for all the noble work you have done throughout your life.

Donald Trump is a midevil misogynist who still regards women as pod carriers.

Thank you for this excellent informative article, Dr. Trump. Shocking and sad. Women are just not valued in our society and they are the ones who continually bring new generations of children to us.

I don’t believe in abortion if the gender is not preferred or for social or convenience reasons. However, if a miscarriage is beyond saving or there is an ectopic pregnancy, that is not an abortion! I am a nurse who was trained in a Catholic Hospital School of Nursing. Ectopic pregnancies were not viable and removed! Everything was done to maintain the pregnancy until nature took its course & a D&C was done to remove any remaining tissue/products of conception! Those were not abortions! Women should not be bleeding to death because of ectopic pregnancies or miscarriages!

I attended a Catholic nursing school as well in the late 70’s. Our registered nurse-instructors/professors explained exactly what a D&C is and why it can be necessary. It’s not an abortion. It’s a life-saving measure - not a termination of a viable pregnancy. I have explained this to so many of my friends and family, and thankfully most understand now. Although upon explaining this to a cousin of the mega persuasion, he thought I was lying and that there have been no deaths due to ectopic pregnancies - fake news. We must right this ship. We cannot lose any more ground.

You are absolutely on target. None of this is about protecting women or valuing life. It may be about enslaving women, but that is another matter. And the Congresswoman makes it clear that every distortion possible will be used to avoid placing responsibility where it belongs. Who on the left would pursue legal action against a doctor for performing a lifesaving abortion? That is the territory of the right. Spare me, Congresswoman!

Thank you for this info. And how many abortions has Donnie paid for?

It always sems to me that public servants get confused about issues when it suits them, sometimes it is spite that drives whatever it is that suits them , Or maybe its ignorance , Whichever, but removing an ectopic pregnancy is NOT having an abortion. One expects who ever is making a desision in such a matter. To have enough intelligence to know that, If He/She doesn't have such knowledge, then do what is neccesary to expose them, and get them out of the job, They are stupid, Too stupid to realise that they are just plain STUPID public servants. lauriemillerjade.com

I nearly died from a ruptured ectopic pregnancy in 1975. I had an IUD at the time and didn’t even know I was pregnant. I was in intense pain and hemorrhaging and fortunately ended up in emergency surgery where they saved my life. Today….who knows.

Happy you were okay, Carol. Same thing happened to me in 1987. The Catholic hospital lectured me and I left. Within 90 minutes I was on my hands and knees screaming in agony. I have NEVER felt pain like that—not even with a 12mm kidney stone trying to go down a 2-3mm ureta. I lost my left tube, had already lost half my right ovary. Very lucky to be alive.

completely predictable. When doctors hesitate, patients are lost. Those list are women whose health care decisions have been taken out of her hands AND the doctors hands. I find fewer reasons each and every year to have pride in thus country.

Willful ignorance and hubris are both dangerous.

Vote for scientists, doctors, women and even men if they are smart enough to know they do not know everything under the sun.

In the 80’s I was trying to get pregnant and when I finally did, I had an ectopic pregnancy. I had been traveling by air and when I got back, I was having severe pains in my lower right side so I went to my Obgyn. Fortunately for me, my doctor had me on an operating table within 30 minutes. My heart 💔 breaks for those women who were hampered from having emergency surgery for this deadly diagnosis.

While these depraved men push women to have more white babies many lose the ability to ever have children. P"Pro-life," my ass, they'll the children born starve, or begin a life of malnourishment while the fat bastards eat the best food. That's who hegseth should be executing if any. For crimes against humanity, and don't miss the fact that for them, women are of a lesser par and can be treated accordingly. 200 women? They ask themselves were the right women. Up ahead, Gilead.

I just can’t believe any woman would vote for him.
