The End of the Rule of Law
Daily News
Donald visited the Nassau County Police Academy in Garden City, New York, on Friday to promote new FBI numbers showing violent crime fell in 2025. But it really was more of a political rally in which Donald attacked radical left Democrats, brought up Sleepy Joe Biden, and told those assembled, “We call them Dumocrats now because their policies are so dumb. Fighting to defund the police, does that play well in this room?” And for those of you who are uninitiated, the word dumb actually, as it turns out, ends in a B. I did not know that until Donald told me.
The uniformed officers were more reserved than Donald’s usual MAGA crowd, which is as it should be. Donald also went after Governor Kathy Hochul and Attorney General Letitia James, calling James a real slob and a disgrace. Attorney General Todd Blanche and FBI Director Kash Patel also spoke at the rally to warm up the crowd for Donald, as if either one of those two people could possibly do that.
This was not just a highly unusual move at an event that was so openly political. It was against the law. To have the head of the FBI and the Attorney General of the United States at a political rally just shows us how far we have fallen. Is violent crime down? Yes. Unless you are talking about the White House, in which case violent crime is up across the board because the Trump regime is a bunch of recidivists who keep committing crimes against us and other people.
So violent crime in general might be down, but prices are up almost across the board. AAA is reporting gas at $4.06 a gallon. But Donald told the crowd that, even though for years he was campaigning on bringing gas prices down to $2 a gallon, he would not apologize.
This is what Donald said:
So I just say this. So for you to pay a tiny little bit more for your gasoline, just remember you’re doing it so that a very evil country cannot have a country, really it’s the number one state sponsor of terror in the world. We don’t want to have them have a nuclear weapon. So remember that when you have to pay a little bit more, you’re at $4. It’s okay. I mean, I’ll never apologize. I did the right thing.
It fills me with shame that there are law enforcement officers in that audience applauding him for lying and basically for telling us that we not only should pay for his mistakes, but should be happy about it. This is the guy who, in over a year and a half in office, has robbed the American taxpayer blind and enriched himself to the tune of over $3 billion. Easy for him to say. He also does not have to pay for his gasoline. That is on us, too.
Before this event, Donald took questions from reporters and was asked about the horrible conditions on the USS Abraham Lincoln. A reporter asked about concerns from family members of sailors aboard the carrier over conditions on the ship. Donald’s response was, “No, they’re not.” Because, as always, he knows better than us about our own lived experience. He then added that the ship had not been deployed nearly long enough, even though those sailors have been out there for over nine months.
Reporter: Family members of U.S. service members are concerned about the conditions on board.
Donald: No, that ship is moving. No, they’re not. That ship is moving right now or very shortly, and it’s being replaced with another very similar ship. No, no, no. Not nearly long enough. Thank you everybody.
That draft dodging sadist would not last 12 hours on that ship at the best of times, let alone under the kind of conditions those sailors are currently experiencing. Clogged toilets, tainted drinking water, mold in the showers. Several sailors have jumped overboard. Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth are solely responsible for the conditions on the ship, and if anything happens to those sailors, it is their responsibility. We should be listening to the sailors and their family members, not the lies coming out of the Pentagon.
Because Donald is so enamored of his favorite dictators, he is once again taking aim at an American ally. On Sunday, he ordered the Pentagon to scale back joint military exercises with South Korea substantially, saying that they are too expensive and “sent a signal that is totally inappropriate and hostile” to North Korea, which he says “has been unthreatening and respectful.”
For those who do not know, North Korea has been ruled by a family dynasty since the late 1940s. It is a totalitarian dictatorship under which its people exist under the most dire conditions as long as Kim Jong Un and his party thrive. Donald also tied the move to South Korea’s refusal to join his war of choice against Iran when he posted to his failing social media site that he asked them to participate in the “denuclearization” of Iran and they said, “No thanks.”
Yes, because everybody, including South Korea, knows that declaring war against Iran was at best foolhardy and at worst catastrophic. The Associated Press calls this yet another example of Donald turning against an ally while favoring a leader previous administrations treated as an adversary. By the way, Republicans, including Donald, keep telling us that we need to be terrified of the communist threat within the Democratic Party. Last I checked, the only person supporting communists like Kim Jong Un, for example, is Donald Trump.
Speaking of the aforementioned newly sworn in Attorney General Todd Blanche, whose confirmation represents the end of the rule of law in America as we know it, Donald’s former personal attorney went on Meet the Press this weekend. Kristen Welker asked him a pretty simple question, and his answer was about what you would expect.
Kristen Welker: Can you pledge that the Justice Department will always act independently of the White House?
Todd Blanche: Well, there’s a big difference between saying we will always do our job and investigate any case and act independently of the White House. No, I’m not going to pledge that. And no attorney general should ever pledge that. I mean, if I were to pledge I will be independent of the White House, what that means is that if President Trump says, I want the Department of Justice to go after every violent criminal in this country, which is what he has said, what you’re saying to me is I just say, No, sir, not going to do it. So I will act with integrity. Our prosecutors will act with integrity. We will prosecute without fear or any sort of favor. And that’s exactly what we’ve been doing, and that’s what every Department of Justice should do.
Welker followed up by asking Blanche whether he would comply if Donald asked him to do something that crossed an ethical or legal line.
Blanche: The President will never ask me to do something unethical or illegal. He never has. He never will. And no, I swore to the Constitution of the United States like every cabinet secretary has done and like every attorney general before me has done. And so this narrative that’s mostly pushed by the left and pushed by the media that the President’s going to pull me aside and ask me to do something illegal is completely a false narrative. Not true, will not happen, and hasn’t happened.
I give you the banality of evil.
Todd Blanche is lying through his teeth, and he is doing it with a quiet equanimity that is alarming. This is the former personal attorney of Donald Trump, now serving as Attorney General of the United States, refusing to pledge that the Justice Department will act independently of the White House and then assuring us that Donald will never ask him to do anything unethical or illegal.
Todd Blanche, along with the head of the Civil Rights Division, Harmeet Dhillon, with a big assist from Pam Bondi, who was Attorney General before Blanche, will do his utmost to dismantle what is left of the Department of Justice and the rule of law. He is going to do Donald’s bidding, as he has now for years.
And we have Senators Bill Cassidy, John Thune, and Thom Tillis to thank for the fact that we now have that Nazi running what used to be one of the most important, unassailable institutions in this country.

Fabulously written essay. Such an destructive evil vicious bindictivevcrime family. Building white house bunker to prepare for another on congress.
How anyone can confuse Democrats with Communists baffles me. If, by “Democrat” you mean progressives like AOC, they want democracy, equal rights and a rule of law that applies to everyone. Communism is the antithesis of that. If you are talking about corporate Democrats, while they have taken over too much of the party for my liking, are at least opposed to excessive taxation and regulations that prevent them from getting the talent they seek.
My long-gone uncle, who marched for civil rights, shut down family members who used racial slurs and spoke in favor of same-sex marriage efore most people even thought about it, was also an ardent anti-Communist.
