Hello and welcome to The Breakdown, a show where we break down what Donald says word for word while he continues to have a breakdown. Because sometimes the only way to understand just how unintelligent, uneducated, and ignorant he is requires hearing directly from the guy who is continuing to gaslight us into believing things that aren’t true while simultaneously demonstrating exactly what his brain actually looks like.
Corporate media keeps reporting his comments, press conferences, and social media rants as if everything is fine. It’s called sanewashing. We don’t have that luxury.
On June 20th, Donald posted this on his failing social media platform. It’s a poll. It’s exciting.
Which do you prefer? Democrat or dumbocrat? In one case, you simply exchange the E for a U. So simple and precise. Many people don’t know or assume that dumb ends in B. In the other case, you spell out dumb, but it seems to lose some of the identity to Democrats when done this way. Which is better. Thank you for your attention in this important matter.
The President of the United States actually put out this poll and also he misspelled the letter. This is a new low in presidential history because he’s talking about switching out a B for a U, not an E for a U. He doesn’t even understand his own wordplay.
Anyway, at least he’s reliably who he is.
Now I want to read verbatim what Donald actually said at a North Carolina rally on September 16th. And I have to be honest with you, this is serious stuff, but it is difficult to keep a straight face sometimes when having to revisit the things Donald has actually said or written. I’m going to try my best so you can understand the seriousness and gravitas with which he is putting out this content. This is Donald Trump in his own words without any editing whatsoever.
But with your vote in this election, we’re going to defeat the murderer and criminal protector. He’s a murderer protector. The man who made North Carolina the talk of the country. The whole country was talking about it for its violent crime. The radical left Democrat Roy Cooper on November 3rd. He’s terrible. No, he’s a murderer protector and he let out 3,500 murderers and criminals. And we’re going to elect one of the greatest men that I’ve ever worked with in government, Michael Whatley, to go and become your United States senator. Nobody used to think of North Carolina as a dangerous state, criminally dangerous. It was like North Carolina. It was beautiful. It was apple pie. And now it’s one of the worst, most violent and one of the worst in the whole nation. And it all started with Cooper. And you have a lousy governor right now too, but it started with Cooper.
I remember Cooper was your governor when you had Helen, what they call it the biggest water hurricane. It was all water and it was brutal. And I was here the following day. You remember that? But Cooper did nothing. He did nothing. Absolutely nothing. And it took me, it took a few months because we were winning an election. And as soon as I got here on January 20th, your nation and your whole nation and your state started to heal from Helen, who was one of the worst hurricanes. Not in terms of a lot of things, but in terms of water. I think it has the record. Everything, areas that never saw water became literally islands. They were separated by just tremendous amounts. Nobody’s ever seen anything like it.
And I have to tell you, Elon Musk, I called up. I said, “They all want Starlink, Elon, you couldn’t get it. You got to do me a favor. Send me Starlink.” And he sent hundreds of phones over Starlink, and that was what got—remember because people, you had islands. All of a sudden you had islands out there and they were separated by vast amounts of water. You couldn’t leave them. People had no communication. I did. I called Elon and they wanted to get them. You couldn’t get them. And I called him and he gave us immediately a tremendous boost by getting that. But Michael Whatley is the one that carried it forward.
What do you have? A bad guy or a good guy over there? Where is he? Who is he? Show it to me. Show him. Let me see his face. Oh, it’s a she. Hello, she. She’s going home to mama.
[ I have to pause here to question my sanity- I’m going to need therapy after this, but I’m fine.]
(Continued) She’s going home to mama. Her mother is watching right now on television, furious at the daughter. She’s going to get the hell spoken out of her. And the worst offenders are the ones that Cooper released, including D. Carlos Brown Jr. who slashed Arena Zaritzka in the neck. Nobody saw anything like that. I think it’s maybe one of the most violent crimes we’ve ever seen. And if you let it run a little bit on television, I didn’t want to do it, but if you let it run, you see one of the worst things you’ve ever seen. And he was released out of jail. He was released by Cooper, your governor, and many others were released too. 3,500 were released, but this was one of them.
And yet others that they say, I don’t know how anybody could be as bad, but they say there is just as bad. But in this election, I’m asking you to pretend I’m on the ballot just one more time. When I’m on the ticket, I’m not bragging, but when I’m on the ticket, Republicans have always done really well. They go out, they vote, everybody gets elected. Everybody gets elected when I’m on, but I just want you to go out and pretend I’m on the ticket because essentially I am.
We got to win this election. And if we don’t, all those things that we got you from no tax on tips and no tax on social security for our great seniors and no tax on overtime, the overtime, no tax. I don’t know which is the most important to you. A lot of people like no tax on social security for our seniors, but they’re all going to go away. All of the things that we’ve done, the strongest border in the history of our country, it’s all going to go away. And if we lose, you’re going to lose your border, you’re going to lose your tax cuts, you’re going to lose your wealth. And our country is going to go through hell and we’re going to be laughingstock all over the world just as we were two years ago.
So on election day, November 3rd, vote to defeat the Democrats. I made the name change. I don’t know what happened. I call them Democrats because their policies are so dumb. All you do is take the E, you replace it with a U and nobody knows that there’s a B. Nobody knows there’s a B in dumb. They think it’s D-U-M. So just think that. I say it’s a one letter change, but they’re Democrats because the worst policy, open borders, transgender for everybody, men playing in women’s sports. But you’re going to go and you’re going to crush the communists. And that’s what they are, the communists.
What the hell? There should be hazard pay for this. Think about how much effort it takes at mainstream media outlets to expend making sense of what I just read so that people come away with the impression that Donald was actually saying something coherent.
Now, let’s talk about who the criminal is. First of all, Donald incorrectly blamed Roy Cooper for the release of DeCarlos Brown Jr., who is indeed a violent criminal. Cooper was no longer governor when Brown was released from prison. That’s a lie.
Michael Whatley, on the other hand, Cooper’s Republican opponent in the Senate race, has faced scrutiny regarding his involvement with two convicted sex offenders. Harvey L. West Jr. served in North Carolina GOP roles during Whatley’s chairmanship, and Whatley appointed him to the party’s rules committee in 2021 and 2024. Then there’s registered sex offender Damon L. King, who delivered the opening prayer at a 2026 GOP event featuring Whatley.
Whatley promoted unsupported claims of widespread fraud after the 2020 election. But he’s a Republican, so supporting sex offenders and being an election denier is a feature, not a bug.
So here’s what I need you to understand. Donald is out here campaigning for a man who has appointed convicted sex offenders to leadership positions while simultaneously accusing Roy Cooper of being a criminal protector. The irony would be funny if it weren’t so dangerous.
Unfortunately for us, there is an unending supply of Donald saying things that are lies, that are products of his delusions, and that are the most tossed kind of word salad imaginable. And we will be here to continue to let you know what he’s actually saying without any filter, without any editing, without commenting at least while I’m reading this incoherent babble, assuming I can do it and stay sane.
