I have many questions on Less Wexner. He was less than honest in his answers this past week. In fact he sounds like a dithering blithering old geezer who somehow does NOT remember turning over ALL his assets to epstein?? Giving Jeff power of attorney, letting people like don peer into dressing rooms of "models" who coincidentally came, almost all of them from eastern Europe, hello Malaria??

And then there's the rest of the crude lewd men hanging with Jeff. Most of whom have resigned, been fired, or 'retired' from high positions, all claiming innocence. Never knew what Jeff was doing in Manhattan or pervert island, new Mexico ranch OR New Albany, Ohio. All these guys either have dons dementia or are damn liars , BOTH.

Thank you, Mary, and Governor Walsh should seek along with AG Ellison Prison Sentences for murder of people standing up for Freedom of Speech! Naturally they arrested the young lady with autism, as she may have said something during the President Speech. Are you kidding Me?Trump is overly sensitive! He stole the valor of those decorated by other people for the Purple Heart and Medal of Honor. Shame on him. Please support independent Media, please subscribe to The Good in Us By Mary L. Trump.

I'm still trying to REALLY COMPREHEND how American government (and much of American society) has devolved so rapidly and so drastically into this insane sh*tshow of incompetent hate-filled demented clowns running things and their fawning followers intentionally rejecting fact and truth and honesty and honor and humanity to facilitate that following. Watching and listening to these alleged leaders feels more like studying aberrant psychology than anything else.

The Republican Party has been heading in this direction at least since the onset of the Reagan administration and more likely since the civil rights advances of the mid-1960s. The corporate types didn't have nearly enough votes to elect their fiscal conservatives (etc.) to office, so they allied with racists (aggrieved white people) and misogynists (opponents of Roe v. Wade and women's rights in general). Thanks to this cobbled-together coalition, the Republican Party became less and less functional but it did manage to win elections and pack the Supreme Court, whose Citizen United decision (2010) gave corporations and Big Money even greater control over election results. In 2016 the hapless Republicans couldn't come up with a serious challenge to Trump, who thanks to the Electoral College was elected president.

I have to say I was shocked by the onset of Trump II but in retrospect it's not all that hard to see the progression. You know how a fire can start slowly, unnoticed by almost everyone, and then suddenly break out and consume a whole house? It's like that.

Susanna - you are so correct in all you say, but for me personally the conundrum is REALLY COMPREHENDING how people got to the level of hate and inhumanity. I know very well that it is nothing new, but the strong desire to blame anyone else rather than take responsibility and the apparent refusal to actually seek viable and appropriate solutions just makes absolutely no sense to me.

Know what? I think you're crediting other people in general with your own beliefs. I share your beliefs, but I've also watched for decades as most people (including, I hate to admit, sometimes my own self) avoid responsibility for things we could have and should have done differently. The us vs. them mentality runs very deep in us humans, and it's not all that hard to understand because in various times and places THEY were trying to subjugate or kill US. So trying to persuade people that "we're all in this together" goes against the grain -- and for good reason: "we" are all in this together as long as "we" need "you all" to get what we want. When we actually get it, you're toast.

Look at how Trump and his handlers are selling out all the working- and middle-class white people who supported him. OK, many of them were willingly suckered, but still . . . There's a classic Gordon Lightfoot song that sums it up: "That's What You Get for Loving Me."

You got me thinking further and realize the Creative Problem Solving methods I learned at Parsons School of Design in 1970 truly impacted my thought processes regarding anything problematic or confrontational. At this point in my life it is a habit so ingrained that I don't even consciously know I'm doing it. It is at the core of how I survived and succeeded after a serious injury at age 25 as a passenger in a car accident that led to me having Last Rites twice, but then going on to graduate school.

👉 You identify the problem.

👉 You evaluate the validity and usefulness of potential solutions and rate them from best to least.

👉 You try the solution you believe is best and the results

Most times you found the solution and the process ends.

👉 If the selected solution does not achieve desired results, review the solution for errors or mis-steps, re-evaluate the problem and review other potential solutions to determine if they will resolve any issues.

That aside, I do understand and have acted within the us vs them sphere - hell, I'm an aging hippy that helped run the anti-war demonstration poster workshop at Parsons after Kent State in spring 1970 and I haven't stopped fighting against wrongs and inequity ever. I guess my actual quandry is why so many people are so willing to follow a demented lying hateful twit and his minions when for the most part it isn't serving or truly benefiting them in any real way? They are being effectively robbed on multiple fronts and lied to daily and they just seem to be like Oliver Twist : "Please, sir, can I have some more?"

(and I love that Gordon Lightfoot song)

How can such terribly stupid people get into office? Oh yeah, they’re voted in by stupid people even more stupid than they are.

The fascist regime withholding Medicaid from Minnesota because of a group of fraudsters is as insane as withholding US citizens' tax refunds because of income tax fraudsters.

Crazy as a loon. Sorry, loons.

Instead of a blue wave in November, let's hope for a blue tsunami. The democrats need to take back congress and rein in the wanna be dictator.
