"Donald," as you refer to POTUS, now openly refers to "the war." This is a blatant admission that he has dragged this country into an unconstitutional war of choice. He is asking, no demanding, that our allies, many of which fought alongside our troops in Afghanistan and Iraq - two "legal" wars - to join him in violating the US Constitution in his war of choice. May our allies continue to reject this insanity. The Constitution states in Article I, Section 8, Clause 11:

[The Congress shall have Power . . . ] To declare War, grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal, and make Rules concerning Captures on Land and Water; . . ." Additionally Congress alone has the authority to appropriate the (tax payer) funds for conducting a war. The GOP Congress, however, is MIA. The State of the Union: disgraceful.

Trump said "We don’t need people that join wars after we’ve already run." I don't know if this is a typo. If not it is a hell of a Freudian slip. I assume "won" was the intended word.

It is a typo. He said "won."

Thank you for the podcast, Mary. There was quite a repetitive news yesterday from this administration same talking points. Aww., but for the grace of Jen Psaki and her integrity and honesty and good interview with Mr. Talarico. It’s my hope the Jasmine Crockett joins his campaign in helping him to win in Texas. I believe he may have the answers we are looking for in this country a democracy that gets rid of AIPAC money aka Citizens United. I invited you all to give to The good in us by Mary Trump where hopefully fake news goes to die.

Well put, Mary. What a treat to see Donald beg & get slapped down. He deserves it, & more.

Well, the beginning of your week sounded positive and uplifting.

Donald, however, is a narcissistic clueless megalomaniac. Who starts an unwanted war and then gets angry at the thinking people who don’t want in on his bad and dangerous

ideas?

Between Iran, Trump forcing poor Cuba into darkness, unpaid TSA agents needing food banks and warehouses full of mostly innocent immigrants; safe to say we’re in a mess.

Stephen King has been prescient about a lot of things. :D

I think that Donald has succeeded in proving that he is a four-star fuck up. Of course, those of us with brains, already knew that.

What if we imagine us back at the time of the revolution when there was a King George that the early Americans freed themselves from because of his despotic ways.

Is a sort of second revolution needed to free us from Trump?

Is this what the No Kings Movement is?

If I handed a globe to Donald I doubt that he could point out Iran, the Strait of Hormuz, or even Bavaria from which his grandfather was banished for being a draft evader.

Working to file my taxes online I just discovered how the Regime may use the Social Security Admistration and the IRS to sort out their friends and enemies through secret entry into our personal Computers. Now, using as techniques including your PICTURE ID and you personal computer PIN; Donald's crew of election fixers and donation counters can apply AI techniques to determine on which side (friend or foe) that YOU the citizen stands. To fund raisers you may be red or blue but to Donald's gang, they only see black and white, his friends or his enemies, dictator style. Being AT WAR gives the President's cartel the authority to designate you an enemy of the righteous cause for which our troops are fighting. As long as sissy Speaker Johnson can keep Congresss in the dark, Trump and sissy Hegseth can run the Pentagon their way.
