The whole Iran war is a travesty, but I was made aware of one of Donald's most odious actions. Afghan allies, 1100 of them, who have been stuck in Qatar after being evacuated from Afghanistan have been told they can either be flown to the Congo or back to Afghanistan. I'm pretty sure no President has ever treated people who fought for us against a group who helped effect the deadliest terrorist attacks ever. A country that the President has never lifted a finger to protect.
To me, the really sad part is that all of us, here and everywhere else, we're all trying to 'make sense' of this nonsense we're faced to endure. I'm thankful for Mary, a voice of sanity is desperately needed.
The thing is though, until people like Donald don't have the appeal they have, then we're essentially stuck with the situation. Until we don't have those that believe the bluster, the hype, the 'macho man' schtick... well, that's gonna be awhile isn't it.
See, we know Donald is sick (Mary knows it better than any of us). But those that don't know it, those that 'only see what they want to see'... they vote too.
Our circumstances remind me so much of the late 60's, my HS years. There was a tremendous amount of turmoil at that time; Vietnam, Civil Rights, etc. And as then, it is now, we struggle to understand how important mental health is. I'm astounded really as things seem to be even worse today, not better.
'Character is destiny' folks. But until the vast majority can see that... I suggest you find your own little heaven on earth, somewhere, anywhere... because evolution is a slow process.
