Let's not forget that Todd Blanche, the Deputy Attorney General overseeing the release, withholding and redactions of the Epstein files was and still is Donald J Trump's attorney. He represented Trump in the criminal fraud case for which Trump was found guilty of multiple felonies and he is continuing to represent Trump in his current capacity. He is hardly non-partisan and has every motive to cover-up for Trump. The DOJ has turned into a turgid sewer with the strongest stench emanating from Bondi's and Blanche's offices.
So much of this calendar year has been like a constantly recycling bad dream -- same level of horror with different details -- so many heinous actions for the future to correct -- Thank you most for saying here the following "... Until then, don’t let it get to you, and have faith we will undo the harm. We will." Mary if you who have experienced this stress of Donald's depraved character and his corrupt world so much longer than the rest of us, and you still have the strength to believe and say firmly that these accumulating nightmares can be corrected, my goodness, who are we to lay down and whine that it can't be done. From my VERY naive political and legal perspective, the mishandling of the Epstein files is a clarion call to do something resembling the following when this shamefully inept administration changes out & we take back the house and senate:
1. Make it federal law (since there is no constitutional provision) that a felony / conviction / indictment for a serious crime shall automatically exclude one from running for a federal political seat, to include and most especially a run for the White House.
2. Pass legislation to support the immediate removal of presidents and their administrations when they have CLEARLY violated the law and/or took actions that run counter to the interests of the vast majority of Americans (e.g., expanded executive power beyond legal limits, curtailed or ended funding of medical research or otherwise jeopardized the health of Americans through reckless changes in vaccine schedules or cessation of government assistance programs).
3. Change the Supreme Court composition to allow for 10 or 12 justices and impose strict limitations on their terms of service.
4. Call for an immediate meeting among European leaders to pledge anew our strong support of traditional alliances / international ties and agreements that have been severely undermined or abandoned altogether by the current administration.
5. Pass legislation to restrict a president's ability to unilaterally withdraw from international commitments, or else we will never recoup our credibility with allies.
6. Establish and legislate age limitations for federal political offices having broad executive authority, legislative control, and judicial power.
Does everyone remember the day a group of Ladies stood on the Capitol Steps and showed their faces to the world saying they all had been victims of Jeffery's scheme to give the world's richest men a taste of juvenile sex? Now Congress is going to allow Donald to deface the girls as he acts out the righteous leader in releasing the files. To the wealthy and powerful the young girls are faceless when they provide their naked bodies and hands for a thrill. DONALD DOES NOT SEE WOMEN'S FACES BECAUSE THEIR FACES REVEAL THEIR SOULS! To a misogynist, women are to be seen but not heard. If Congress had the guts to recover the real files and show real teen girls as they were, some MAGAs would be moved by this reveal of the fact that rich men like Donnie think they deserve the young virgins to rape! Does anybody understand what I am saying?
