Ms. Trump. Ordinarily I agree with you wholeheartedly. But here I think a better interpretation of Donald's behavior is not that he has forgotten what he said earlier. It might be true that he DID in fact forget. However, it is just as likely that he reverses himself and even contradicts himself because he has no thought-out "plan." He strikes me as the kind of weak-minded colleagues I worked with who had no "plan" at all, and simply said what ever popped into their vacuous heads at the time. These people were administrators in a hierarchical structure whose job was secure because they were bootlickers, consequently they were never in jeopardy due to their incompetence. Donald's job is secure for another three years. In his mind; why should he worry about self contradiction?

The deaths of 16 people and injuries to 40, at Sydney, Australia on the beginning of Hanukkah is soul crushing.
The hate crimes witnessed in recent times are a growing malignancy, blunting many people, resulting in lower sensitivity to the loss of life, creating a perception that even mass murders are just something to be accepted. "Copycat" crimes also erupt when other haters are emboldened by the sensationalism they feel.
Yet many also remain in denial about how and why the horror of violence continues. People continue to practice hate and condemnation towards others because they are different, resist legal remedies and place financial profit above life.
We all need to understand that the manner in which we treat our fellow humans everyday is critical in preventing the growing levels of hate from reaching massive proportions. Everytime we choose violence, or even name-calling, we contribute to the growth of hate. Everytime we decide to be kind or at least to hold our anger until we know better, we subtract from the malignant spread of hate and the violence it spawns. It's up to each of us.
