I've said it before and while they might not be the only reasons, Trump's plans to drill baby drill and his desire to see American oil companies operational in Venezuela only work economically if the price of crude goes up.

The only thing I can say is: DT is a huge asshole and an incompetent, especially on the world stage. He has no idea what he is doing in Iran, (listen to little Marco's drivel) except accepting huge payoffs from Saudi Arabia and other ME countries to attack Iran, because the Saudis don't want to do it themselves. And who, as usual, pays for all of this crap? You guessed it- the common citizens in the ME and us: in their homes and schools, at the pumps, at the grocery stores, in dwindling income/investments, etc etc. Who doesn't pay for it directly but benefits from it?? You guessed it: the POS as well as Prince Muhammed.

And no one would ever expect Trump and Kegseth to come up with mundane, competent things such as strategy or planning. They simply destroy.

With all of their wealth..one would assume Saudi Arabia would have impressive Military power.

Unsure of that. Not sure it's that impressive, but I may be wrong. Their oil reserves are impressive, to say the least.

Why did Trump launch the attack on Iran now, as opposed to a month ago, or 6 months ago or a year ago, during which our intelligence and Iran's capabilities haven't changed?

Simple. It was recently disclosed that Trump's name appears approximately 38,000 times in 5,300 documents in the Epstein files, and the DOJ is stonewalling disclosing them.

This is all about distraction and delay and when enough of our soldiers fall on the battlefield and the public clammoring for disclosures reaches epic proportions, Trump will come up with more delays, diversions and distractions.

Let's face it. If Trump has nothing to hide, then why is he hiding them?

Primaries definitely matter, and for ordinary Democrats thar means voting out as many establishment Democrats as possible. If Justice Democrats, that is progressive Democrats who refuse corporate money among other things, aren't running, at the very least taking AIPAC money should be a disqualification for support.

Donald said Iran was planning to attack us. Marco said there were fears that Iran would retaliate in response to planned Israeli action against Tehran. Jimmy Breslin said, "Can't anybody here play this game?"

I guess that Trump was also prepared to claim that he invaded Venezuela as a pre-emptive strike because they were intending to invade us.

What with? Vuvuzelas?

LOL! With fishing boats!

Bells are going off…again…anyone else now wondering what the U.S. military action in ECUADOR means? Really?

Roslyn Reid's avatar

I think all these strikes are motivated by the same thing: protecting/helping Donald's most important supporters.

His cabinet take their cues from him. So if he's wasting money on stupid shit, they feel empowered to do the same. Three more years of this. We can thank MAGA for this because they put him back in office after he kept promising to close the border and now as it turns out, arresting everyone who's skin color isn't white.
