I recently started watching Handmaids Tale, which originally aired in 2017, and the book upon which it is based was written in 1985.It is incredibly prescient as to what is happening in our country now and makes me almost wonder if Project 2025 took its cues from that story. the strategy for how Gilead came to be includes the presence of extreme right wing religious groups who plan how to develop a coup to take over. They state first attack the white house, then congress, then universities. Target liberals, LGBTQ people, limit women's access to higher education or participating in meaningful employment, particularly at universities, media and publishing companies. They are raising concerns about the low birth rates and orchestrate laws where the women's place is in the home to have babies, no outside employment.

There are several religious groups promoting the idea of the woman's place as being in the home. The story illustrates how people noticed some of the changes that were happening, but not giving them a serious consideration. This is where we are right now. Many people are calling out the atrocities and corruption and where this might lead, but even more people are not really paying attention and some are supporting what is happening. The huge ICE militias use immigration as a front for the larger use. This is trump's own private militia to use against those who oppose him. They have carte blanche to operate as aggressively as they want with no accountability.

I don’t trust the United States judiciary to fix the CHAOS of the Trump Era. The structural problems that are in the Senate and House are due to trusting tradition over actual rules or laws. The Supreme Court has proven that they cannot be trusted. The entire process of putting lawyers on the Supreme Court is a disaster.
