If platforms can remove voices without accountability, trust erodes faster than any algorithm can fix.

Have you noticed the coverage of ICE in Minnesota and Vermont has gone radio silent while ICE is still every bit as brutal and repressive as ever? Have you noticed how nobody is talking about Trump removing restrictions on Russia is the next step in the ongoing BETRAYAL of Ukraine? A lot of the problem is the short attention span of the spoon fed audience as well.

That must feel so targeted. Being deprived of a voice in the USA for speaking the truth. Inconvenient to those in power. Very worrying.

It is insane, that in America you can be banned for telling the truth. Since these oligarchs are taking over Mainstream Media, it has become like Russian propaganda. We need independent journalists like yourself more than ever!!! Keep up the good fight!!

Hang in there, Mary. If they’re trying to ban your content, you know you are doing the right thing, and you are getting to them. I hope you continue to fight the bastards as long as you can.

They can’t handle the truth.

Mary, don’t feel rained on I was banned from x to and they gave no reason. But since Musk owns X that explains the banning. He is so far up the kings ass.

I’ve been banned from Twitter several times. I guess I wasn’t promoting enough pornography. Now it’s a propaganda machine.

It's getting increasingly fascistic out there and we must all fight back with everything we've got.

Keep on fighting with every opportunity that presents itself as we watch fascism spread its ugly wings across the land of the free and home of the brave. Keeping the faith that karma will strike in the very near future.

Methinks we’re already living in a fascist state. Unfortunately -

I’d say we’re already there -

These kinds of monopolies are why I am very choosy about where I get my news. In addition to you here on Substack, I also follow Dan Rather, Aaron Parnas and Charlie Sykes. Between you all and the PBS News Hour, I typically don't have to deal with the BS noise of the mainstream news outlets.

Being banned from TikTok is a badge of honor.

One of the first priorities of a Democratic Congress other than the impeachment of Trump and other members of his kakistocracy including on the Supreme Court should be the repealing of the 1996 Telecommunications Act given to us by the first neoliberal/neoconservative Democratic US president, Bill Clinton. We are living in what has been called the second or New Gilded Age. It follows then that as the first Gilded Age ended with the break up of the trusts, the giant corporations that dominated the US in the late 1890s-early 1900s, Americans who want a democratic US should demand as citizens and as legislators and administrators enact trust-busting that will make the break up of ATT in the early 1980s look like a minor reorganizing of assets. Let it start with media, 90% of which has been said to be owned by six companies, though before long that number may drop down to five.

We need to elect people who will (1) do what you suggest, and (2) get them to pay the tax they should be paying.

Especially since the US government just came out the country is insolvent because of the debts to assets ratio. What that means for us, I don't know.

Couldn't agree more, independent media is the way. It is the beacon that guides informed thought and can light the way to a better place. Its always been that way, which is why people like Walter Cronkite were true giants, powerful enough with their voice to genuinely criticize the government and stand against assaults on democracy.
