The writer of the article wondered whether the agents recognized him, and sought retribution. The excessive amounts of gunshots would have indicated that either this was retribution, insanity, drug use on the part of the agents, or all of the above. There were also articles about a history of some of these agent pervs getting arrested and incarcerated for sexual acts with minors. No surprise there, as the vetting has been nonexistent. I know I might sound a bit over the top, but these guys are so extremely out of control without anyone able to put a stop to their frenzied and violent actions, that you have to begin to think: what is really going on? Who are these masked crazies? Sexual deviants? J6 idiots? Drug fused guys? What is it really? You might find a few bad cops, no doubt, in any policing agency, but this? Even with cops gone bad, there are usually a few that say "wait a fucking minute. I'm not doing this!" And the offending cop or cops are relieved of duty, immediately. What is really going on? Donald is counting on his MAGA faithful to keep him in the White House and out of prison. If he loses them, he loses his freedom. That's pretty strong motivation to keep the Epstein evidence hidden.
I used to be a commercial realtor on the west coast. Been familiar with DT. Since the BonWit Teller fiasco. At the time that was happening I was on a local planning committee dealing with a national development company wanting to take down some heritage buildings in our city’s core. Went to a RE convention in Toronto attended also by realtors from NY. Warned us not to do business with the trump crowd, in any way shape or form. We knew lawyers whose company had an office. In NY, no corporate business expenses created in any trump property would be reimbursed by their firm. Have worked with men most of my life and trump has always given me the creeps. He is such a total failure, surprised he is still walking around considering his life style. Dale—I am.a trans woman. While living as male (until my mid 40s, mid 2000s), I was “straight” but knew a fair number of gay men. Most were lovely; I enjoyed their company. But a few seemed to hate women even more than they loved men. DT reminds me of them, except that I don’t think he loves, he only lusts. (Sorry if that seems prudish.)

Given that Fred's father was a brothel operator, it's safe to assume that the Trump men believe women are good for only one thing. Mary's dad did not fall in line and he paid the price.
I suspect that gay men who seem to hate women are actually dealing with internal conflicts about relating with everyone, both men and women. Likely, their attraction to men is more about lust than love.

I didn’t agree with much of their politics, but I have always respected Bob Dole and John McCain. They sacrificed more for their country in a day than Donald ever will.
There is a fairly easy to find video on line, of DT years ago. At a wrestling match. He used to follow that ‘sport’ and I believe owned a large stake in one of the wrestling organizations. One of the wrestlers comes flying out of the ring, trump leaps to his feat and rushes over, business suit and all, and starts hammering on the guy who is still on the floor. Just pounded away then stood up and walked off. Not sure if it was all a setup , or a moment seized on for potential publicity. But gave a good idea of what kind of person he was.
Sometimes I think DT is “thrill killing” through ICE.

I think Pretti's murder was a tipping point because it could no longer be called an anomaly. For a similar reason the number of agents involved kept it from being a personal matter.
Sadly, I think it's because he was a white man (with a gun he had legally, and wasn't using). Nothing else is worth it to the "potus" and his rabid followers.
I think it was the sum of all of the ICE abuses up to Pretti's murder for exercising his 1st and 2nd Amendment rights. His murder for trying to help someone while legally carrying concealed is getting through to a lot of MAGA.
Agree. As I mention above, Pretti's murder may not have occurred had it not been for Minneapolis staging its huge regional strike. And that strike was a response to Renee Good's murder, along with all the other atrocities.
As Governor Walz said, Minnesota has had it.

Something to remember is that it was the accumulation of all the atrocities that then resulted in Renee Good's murder that caused Minneapolis to stage a regional strike in the first place. But not for that strike, the execution of Alex Pretti wouldn't have occurred.

The name “Trump” (sorry Mary) still triggers dollar signs for people, even though his actual record is a parade of bankruptcies, scams, and spectacular failures. Yes, it could be absolutely. Good was involved in a lesbian relationship, so that set a fire under the right's asses, but this murder? This guy was an ICU nurse with the VA, for God's sakes, and he was following State and Fed law re the gun. The WH has no more legs to stand on with this one. He clearly was not threatening anyone with the gun,as it was in his pocket, NOT his hand, as all of the visual evidence shows. The WH has become mired in very deep shit.
And of course, they lied about it in every way possible, painting Pretti as a crazed terrorist out to cause chaos and carnage. Total bullshit--the guy was a nurse whose life was about helping others. His last words were, "Are you OK?" It was a classic case of wrong place/wrong time and they murdered him--because they could.
Absolutely, and I just read a story that he had another skirmish with ICE the week before, and his rib was broken. The writer of the article wondered whether the agents recognized him, and sought retribution. The excessive amounts of gunshots would have indicated that either this was retribution, insanity, drug use on the part of the agents, or all of the above. There were also articles about a history of some of these agent pervs getting arrested and incarcerated for sexual acts with minors. No surprise there, as the vetting has been nonexistent. I know I might sound a bit over the top, but these guys are so extremely out of control without anyone able to put a stop to their frenzied and violent actions, that you have to begin to think: what is really going on? Who are these masked crazies? Sexual deviants? J6 idiots? Drug fused guys? What is it really? You might find a few bad cops, no doubt, in any policing agency, but this? Even with cops gone bad, there are usually a few that say "wait a fucking minute. I'm not doing this!" And the offending cop or cops are relieved of duty, immediately. What is really going on? It certainly has very little to do with looking for criminals in an immigrant population. And one of the most unfair result of all of this is that this agency has diminished all law enforcement agencies who may really be trying to stay honest, follow procedures, and protect people.
