I watched Michael McFaul on Katie Couric’s Substack earlier today. I learned a lot (historian, I am not). I value what he taught me, most of which you probably know. Just as valuable, he stated the facts and the time left in Donny’s term in phraseology that adjusted my perspective in a slightly positive direction. Granted, it could only go in that direction, as the truth is grotesque. Still, I’m glad I heard him. And glad he compared Trump’s negotiations with Putin to the skills of Sec’y of State Clinton and Barack Obama.
