No , the President is right for once. America is now “the hottest country in the world.”owing to global warming

L. Hughes's avatar

Unfortunately Trump doesn't know what global warming is.....he is still in the 80's wanting to abuse women that are hot. That is the one way he thinks.

Stuart's avatar

I sense, without giving it a lot of thought, that Trump would not pass Hegseth’s testosterone standards. His Studio 54 days are long gone. Women are no more than nonsexual accessories like Melania. Money is his creed nowadays.

L. Hughes's avatar

Agreed. I also don’t think HEGSETH would pass the testosterone test….all the alcohol has aged and weakened him (and his brain !). He couldn’t do those push ups with the military.

Jenika's avatar

Heggy should take the test and post his "score."

pilar's avatar

Do you believe that he still drinks

Susanna J. Sturgis's avatar

Maybe yes, maybe no -- but if he doesn't, he's almost certainly what's known in the trade as a "dry drunk": someone who isn't drinking but hasn't taken any steps toward recovery either.

Punkette's avatar

Whiskey Pete is hopped up on something else too … perhaps Elmo, the Ketamine Kid, shared his stash.

Jenika's avatar

Yep, unless he has a support team and goes to meetings. You just don't quit cold turkey without help. He does exhibit "dry drunk" symptoms: inappropriate anger, bullying and "control" issues.

pilar's avatar

He knows about it, but claims that it’s a hoax

Brenda's avatar

Yes and now he's trying to do to the country what he always tried to do to women: screw it till it's nearly lifeless and leave it with a social disease.

Reggaemama's avatar

Those of us in the Pacific Northwest are experiencing trump's claim to be the "hottest country in the world", along with France's

and Spain's horrific wildfires. Most of Oregon is on fire with not enough resources to effectively control these fires. I speak from first hand knowledge as my son-in-law's firefighting company does not have enough personnel even with numerous crews. The Forest Service's firefighters, thanks to the Orange Pedo's cuts has not enough personnel either. And what does that idiot do? He puts a tariff on Canada for having smoke that he doesn't even encounter. He's depriving the Blue states of justified FEMA dollars, well just because they didn't vote for him. Tell that to our ranchers and farmers who are suffering because of him. Oregon is a blue state with 2 democratic senators and a democratic governor. However, Central and Eastern Oregon are predominantly red and are being screwed by this ignorant, unhinged buffoon. Our tax dollars go to FEMA and we demand representation no matter what colors our states are. We subsidize many red states when they have disasters.

Stuart's avatar

I can only hope we have unimpeded midterm elections without ICE or any other Federal interference. This country is traumatized by the freakiest president ever. Let’s just hope the Democrats get their act together and we restore funding to FEMA, USAID, cancer research….i mean there is a long list of defunding by an unhinged Executive

Deb's avatar

It is actually up to the people now.If we don’t get voters to the polls the republicans stay the majority. So people get working on it!!!

Stuart's avatar

The independents, democrats and disgruntled republicans are motivated to vote like never before. This is one of the most important elections in our life time

Susan Tunison's avatar

Agree and same here on Washington and I imagine same in California too!!!

peta bracken's avatar

I wonder were all the smoke from the Oregon fire is going?

Ruth Sheets's avatar

Baer, alas, we aren't the hottest country yet, and I hope we won't be, though we produce the most greenhouse gas that is warming the planet. Trumplandia doesn't want to acknowledge global warming because they want to keep the money from fossil fuelers flowing to them and for no effort on their part, just lie about it every day!

Stuart's avatar

No , the President is right for once. America is now “the hottest country in the world”owing to global warming.

Punkette's avatar

Right on, BaerS! And America is literally on fire, thanks to the same.

I blame Republicans since 1980, when Ronnie Raygun took Jimmy Carter’s solar panels off the White House roof. It’s been downhill since then. 🤬

Stuart's avatar

I’m still pissed off at Raygun for removing the solar panels. He hasn’t been dead long enough. Whats with these Republicans ?

Punkette's avatar

They’re all evil crooks. IMHO, the GOP hasn’t legitimately won a presidential election since Eisenhower.

Susan Tunison's avatar

Exactly and due to him removing all the preparations and various projects and programs setup by people inproor administrations to help combat climate change!!!

Argyle Wolf-Knapp's avatar

Hence the increasing wildfires...

I think it’s a combination of factors. Our meat eating dietary habits impact global warming. Livestock accounts for roughly 18% of global greenhouse gas emissions. Maybe more. Fossil fuels especially wreak havoc. Trump has pushed back on developing alternative renewable energy sources. Technology can make the difference if it is promoted further by the government. One example, Ford Motor Company was working on transitioning to electric vehicles but held back owing to Trump’s promotion of fossil fuel energy

Hassett, with that shit eating grin makes me sick. He's saying look at me, I'm grinning, full of happiness so you stupid Americans can now see that we're all telling the truth and everything is fine. Hope he goes to jail along with the rest of them.

So that’ll why he reminds me of Jesse Watters.

The difference being Walters is a Journalist on State TV. whereas, we pay Hassett to lie to us. I do agree though, that they're both cut from the same cloth. Both big time losers!

Never forget those who legitimized this nightmare into reality: the GOP voters who propped him up to become a legitimate candidate and those who voted him in. Pointing fingers won’t help but incessantly reminding them of the consequences of their votes will.

Being a Trump, you understand what’s going through that man’s mind because you’ve seen him in action for however long you have been alive! It’s just too bad that now we all have to suffer because he’s a delusional, narcissistic megalomaniac! But thank you for giving us insights into how his brain works because it’s way different than a normal brain that’s for sure! Thank you for all of your insight!!

Donald cannot follow a script for more than 45 seconds, and then he goes off on some stale rant that sounds comically like what these devout evangelicals who attend churches where extreme behavior is seen as getting closer to their god, where they're either handling (previously chilled) rattlesnakes or rolling on the floor babbling like idiots. They call it speaking in tongues; I call it acting like a goddamn fool.

But that might be the connection that Trump has with these delusional, low-IQ fools who refuse to see him for what he is. Maybe this is why they chose to believe that he is the only one who is so close to their invisible, undetectable God that he must be divine. Just saying.

A very large minority of American voters have spoken, and twice. Who? Morons, uninformed, ignorant people, those who are susceptible to charismatic cults, and those who crave a strongman dictator. And Democratic voters? Apathetic, lazy, couldn’t care less. Tens of millions of them. A huge, combined political mass, one that unfortunately proved decisive, and who may have destroyed American democracy.

Your comment about laughter and ridicule was great!! I have been remarking for the last few days since I read that signs dismissing American history at the Smithsonian Institution should be placed in front of the National Museum of American History on the DC Mall, that everyone who sees one or passes one as they go into the museum should laugh out loud and say things like "What a ridiculous sign, did you see that?" or " OMG, they are trying to pretend we don't exist and our ancestors didn't either!" or "Yeah, I knew that white house toddler pool of Trump's had no clue about history or even what is actually in this museum!" We should laugh every time we see a ridiculous Trumpian lie anywhere in print or picture (bumper stickers on parked cars- not on moving ones because the Trumpian driver might cause an accident, signs on people's lawns, signs in stores, then just don't go in, etc.

I have been told that men are scared of women laughing at them while women are scared of men killing them. To keep the latter from happening, we are going to need to do a whole lot more laughing and loudly if we are going to make any positive changes. Maybe a laughing emoji should be put on any responses to Trump's TruthSocial BS. Laughter is contagious! Let's do it!

Ruth Sheets's avatar

Sky Blue! I love it! We need a lot of that honest laughter at the nonsense and lies everywhere! It's too bad we couldn't get that going in 2016. We might not have had this Trumpian blight on our nation!

Tariffs, not “just” sanctions? I neglected to take economics in college. I thought sanctions were harsher than tariffs. And didn’t trump himself remove some sanctions on Iran shortly after he attacked them. What was value of Iranian exports to United States for, say, 2025. ( before we won the war with Iran)? What is the War Tax for the Iranian War? How much extra interest will that amount cost next year?
