Diesel is $7.29 here at our local tribal fuel stations. We also can’t afford salmon, even at the moderate prices set by the tribal fishers. Thank heavens for my husband who can stretch one chicken into three or even four delicious meals.

And you know what? I was reading about chicken and the way it’s prepared. The only safe chicken to buy is organic, and if the package has a “diaper” on the bottom, gross don’t get it because that means it’s been soaked in something disgusting. So I found diaper free organic chicken thighs and they were $13.00. And I’ve stopped buying chicken anyway since my dog developed a sensitivity to it and my partner is vegetarian. But I digress. It’s all expensive. I’m going back to dried beans for protein. Wonder when they’ll jack the price up for those?

From my perspective, Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins has kept a relatively low profile up until now. I bet when she told the American people to eat something other than expensive beef, she had the ranchers choking on their braised beef tips. Too bad for them, but this is what the vast majority of them voted for. Good to know the Secretary of Agriculture fits right in with the other feebs, incompetents, losers, and ass kissers in the worst Cabinet in American history.

It will be between us and ICE, and those members of the police and the military willing to fire on civilians. Because our congress is dominated by complicit republicans, we have no other mechanism for removing him than throwing them out.

So hopefully we get through this somewhat smoothly and come out the other side!!
