It is well past time - years past time, really - that mainsteam media started quoting Trump verbatim, not making up some possibly-sensible-sounding summary of it. Either of those passages on magnets show a deeply demented man, and one who cannot maintain a coherent thought for the duration of a sentence.
It's ground-level sanewashing and it does enormous harm.
I was thinking yesterday what kind of people still believe this man and it fell into three categories.
One, those who really can’t help themselves due to physical, cognitive or comprehension limitations.
Two, those who don't get it because they don't want to get it. They choose to ignore the truth with key words such as "fake news" and "that isn't real" and "it is bad but will improve, he is working on it" and “liberals are the bad people, causing problems, not me” and so on. They use those beliefs to not see clearly. Actually, it is easier for many to do this because it takes no work at all. All they have to do is believe anything he says and keep on living. They can then be at peace while innocent people are murdered in the streets by ICE, for example.
Three, those who still believe that by supporting him, something great is coming their way politically (and otherwise) someday. They will suffer the most when he does to them what he continues to do to all who get in his way: everything is about him and only him, and supporters are just like ants in the nest, replaceable, squashable.
Again, Mary, your courage and dedication to write this blog is tremendous, and we thank you, always.
People I know continue to say he is good for the country. They then repeat what he has said he does for the country, lies, but they believe it. It always leaves me just a little bit speechless.
Actually, I think he believes we ordinary Americans can just “write off” the increases in prices his tariffs, war, and other polices have caused us to suffer unaffordable food, medical, transportation, fuel, and housing costs. We can’t simply write it off, especially the poor can’t, unlike the rich who manage to live their entire lives attaching business to everything they spend money on so they can either deduct it or write it off as a loss which we taxpayers have to pay for as a result. He thinks we can write it off.
40% tariff on Cdn steel. US steel makers upped their steel price so any goods made of steel, of course thy cost more. That might be a reason big business supports him.
My thought is that most (almost all) of his supporters cannot read and comprehend higher than a 3th grade level AND their listening skills are abysmal. Since the written word is uncomprehensible to them and they can't understand the spoken word, they only hear the emphasized spoken phrases, i.e., "libtards are bad, dumocrats are dum, maga-nets are good," they are not processing information the way normal human beings do.
They are profoundly ignorant, as is their dear leader. He truly does "speak their language" of gibberish. When the intelligence of a nation, as a whole, drops to this level, such nation is doomed to be led by a moron.
That's where we're at. The profoundly ignorant cannot ever discern how truly ignorant they are. I'm not surprised at the numbers of Americans who are moving to other countries, I'm just shocked at why I continue to live here. Maybe I have hope for the midterms to turn this around, but I've got to start preparing to leave if the midterms do not make a difference in the governance of this country. This entire country is INSANE.

There has been no comment on the gop recount of the Georgia 2020 ballots they took. Somewhere on a tv program I heard that their recount actually gave Biden 18 more counts. Might be the reason that there has been no comments, you think?
Does Abigail Jackson realize that she is saying minors are unable to have "unlimited pasta," at Olive Garden? Does Olive Garden know she is making this claim?
At least in THIS case, there is a tiny kernel of truth in the claim (those who have "Pasta Passes," which are non-transferable, and come with perks, have to show ID because of the non-transferable thing), but her statement taken at face value (by the Red Hat Cult) would mean that nobody under the age of 18i can have unlimited pasta, and if Granny forgets to bring her purse with her, she's also out of luck.

Hydraulics and explosive cyclospora diarrhea seem to relate, but I'm missing the elevators and "do" magnets thing. As for his continual rantings about 2020 and the SAVE Act, electile dysfunctions occurred only in the USA in 2016 and 2024 when the country stupidly elected him as president.
You join Costco and you get a card. (Which I continually lose.) You need to show a photo i.d., NOT proof I'd citizenship. Costco doesn't care if you come from another galaxy. Pay the membership fee, buy paper towels, toilet paper, paper clips in bulk. That's what they care about.
Olive Garden: Not a big customer, but I do know that you can buy a $100 Never Ending Pasta Card, good for all the pasta you can eat in 13 weeks. No proof of citizenship. A photo i.d. and you're good. Otherwise, you can hand off the card to friends all over the world. That is a lot of revenue to lose.

We are in limbo, waiting for Trump to do something so awful that even his base becomes fractured and doubtful. History tells us that such an event would probably devastate the same tens of millions that cling to him religiously. Only then will they understand. Then again, maybe not.

We forget when steel was a thriving business in America. Before the corporate greed sent jobs to China and now look what that got us.
