The first article was published on January 20, 2025, when Trump first took office in his second term, and when his political agenda was quickly established as a dictator wannabe.
In any case, the similarities between the two are strikingly similar. Is anyone reading this actually surprised?

I am concerned too. I keep wondering if there is anyone who can come to our aid now that Donald Trump has done such damage to our alliances. Will our military turn against the people as we know ICE will, and has? We do need to stand up together and even if Trump declares an emergency, the states should still go right along with elections and keep Trump's goons from touching our ballots or messing with our tallying machines. Hand-counting would work. We do have to find ways around this fascist regime! We might have to swear the new congress in early.
I believe the 80 year thing has to do with the third and forth generation after an event has not been given the same information about the experience. We do not tend to teach the experience of "history repeats itself because we have forgotten what brings us there." The 2nd generation feels the parent's electric response. By the third and fourth generation, the power of lessons learned have moved on to other thoughts, issues and more. The power of the experience - amd why- has not necessarily been carried forward. Look at the change from being in WWII because we want to stop genocide of people, to today, whether looking at Israeli leaders and peoples, or what the U.S. is doing with our people.
